Please go see a doctor. You probably have some pregnancy tissue left that your body is still trying to get rid of. It may be ok to keep on letting yourself have a natural miscarriage, but you may need a D&C. I have had 4 losses and with a few that I did not have the D&C the miscarriage took a long time to complete. Your body is doing the best it can.

Go to ur doc!!! This happened to me the day after my seventeenth birthday, I know how you feel. They told me there was no tissue remaining but to go home and take a pregnancy test in 3 days to see if all hormones were gone. They weren't and there was some tissues left. I had to have a D&C done, it was scary but if there's even a little tissue left, you can develop infections which could actually cause infertility. Please go and get checked out! By the way, I thot since my first pregnancy ended in miscarraige I wouldn't be able to have kids. Five years later I have two beautiful girls, and another on the way. Check out the march of dimes website for more info. Take care of yourself, I am sorry dor ur loss!!!

Dear S. --

First, my condolences on the loss of your child.
In addition to the recovery of your body's health,
I hope you will have help with your emotional recovery as well.

Now, after the miscarriage, were you examined by a doctor
or a nurse practitioner or a midwife? Did they check to see
whether there was any material remaining in your uterus?

If not, you MUST get examined, as soon as possible.
Tell the provider what you have told us.

If you __were__ examined at that time, and if they determined
that there was no material left behind, call your health care provider's office and describe what has been happening. They will tell you what to do. Probably they'll tell you to come in for a check-up.

If you don't have a regular medical provider, go to a community clinic.
It's not necessary to go to an emergency room,
just go to a non-emergency medical facility.

Please let us know what happens.

You need to see your Gynecologist. There could be an infection or a hormone imbalance.

You may want to get checked. You do not want to get an infection or anything. That does not appear to be normal.

It sounds like maybe your levels weren't monitered? I had a m/c in June and I had to keep having my blood drawn to make sure my hormone levels went to under 5. With me it happened within a week but everybody is different. Sounds like you may be having an incomplete miscarriage and like others have mentioned you could develop an infection. Definitely see a doctor. Sorry for your loss.
