Hi Ladies!

I have been wanting to try mineral makeup, and thought I'd ask if any of you have feedback about certain brands, etc? Has anyone trued Bare Essentuals, Sheer Cover, or others that they liked?

Thanks!
C.

So What Happened?

Thanks ladies!

I think I will try out the less-expensive versions that some of you suggested, and see if I would be up to (or need to) spend more on the pricier brands. I appreciate your feedback ;)

Hi C.. Arbonne has a mineral powder foundation with SPF 15. You may contact me if you are interested.

P.S. I worked with a doula for the first time recently with the birth of my 2nd son, and I am a big advocate for birth doulas. I had a postpartum doula help me with my first son with breastfeeding. What a wonderful profession!

Hi C.!
I have been using L'Oreal's mineral makeup for a few months now, and I love it! It goes on light and smooth, and still evens out my skin tone nicely. I decided to try L'Oreal first before getting the more expensive brands because I wasn't sure what mineral makeup would be like for my skin. So far, it has been great, I even noticed a difference in my skin, it feels softer and looks healthier. I have heard a lot of good things about Bare Essentuals, but I couldn't afford the price. Hope you can find a makeup that works best for you! Have a nice day!

I caught a repeat the other day of Oprah's "summer must haves". The more affordable mineral makeup that made their cut was Maybelline mineral powder. I've not tried that line yet, but when I run out of my Bare Essentials I will be headed their way. You can also get deals on EBay on these "club" makeups. Like another mom mentioned, you easily get a stockpile of some things or shades.

Hi C.,
I've never been much of a makeup user and dreaded putting on foundation. My SIL had me try Bare Essentuals and I LOVE IT!! It goes on so light and yet gives good coverage. Plus it is so quick. They have a bunch of different products, but being the minimalist that I am, I just use the foundation. I'll never go back to liquid. Hope you find something that you like.

I LOVE Bare Minerals. I've been using it for about 3 years now. Not every day, but most. It lasts a long time for me because I mix the two colors together (that come in the kit through the Club). I've also tried Mary Kay. It's pretty good too. A little heavier coverage, and no "Mineral Veil" like with Bare Minerals (frankly, that's the part I love best!) I stopped the Bare Minerals club because I was stockpiling the stuff! But you can buy it at Ulta.
