Metallic Taste

When I was first pregnant, before I knew I was I got the Metallic taste in my mouth which I know is normal. My question is for the last few months, every month a week or two before I get my period I get the Metallic taste again. Don't understand why. Has anyone experienced this? Or have any advice?

What can I do next?

This is a good question...I don't have the answers...but I have been experiencing the same thing...I haven't noticed it when pregnant..or may have just been ignorant of it...but I sure am experiencing that metalic taste quite often it seems.

This is gross, but almost always before my period I get a bloody nose. Don't ask me why. It's not like the blood pours out, but my nasal membranes get dry and I can taste the iron/metallic taste in the back of my throat and I know I'm getting close to starting. Could that be anything like what you're referring to?

My husband gets a metallic taste sometimes too, but his is seizure-related.

I get the same thing... i had it with my first pregnancy, and now we're trying for the second, and every month, when i get that metaly taste in my mouth, i'm like "uh? did i work? am i pregnant?"... but no, just getting my period withing a week... its very deceitfull...
anyway, if you do find out what it is, would you let me know?

I get the same thing when my anxiety levels are high I think it may have to do with a boost in one of the main hormones?
