Meeting on Mamapedia

I have a few extremely close friends that I have found on good ole' Mamapedia.

I have yet to meet any of them.

There are two that are just a short drive away from me....and when the time is right we will meet.

I would say these are people who know me pretty thoroughly. They know somethings about me, my best friends dont even know.

They have all seen me through a very very very dark time in my life as well. And for that I am forever indebted to them.

To my two far away mama's you know who you are...and one day we will meet and have that long awaited girl time!!!

I honestly feel like we are just a big group of sisters and a few brothers......Cause we fight like family sometimes:)

I always wonder what a Mamapedia Party cruise would be like???:)

I've met one in person - now I need to get in touch with her again!! Life has been crazy!!

I am looking forward to meeting several M.'s here...I've talked to a few on the phone, via e-mail and facebook....

I've met one person face to face, and I know I'll be meeting a whole handful of them coming up around my area and I can't wait!!

Just like with Facebook, I've met a lot of people that I wouldn't have known except for social media. I actually 'met' my (soon to be ex) husband on Myspace, technically.

not yet, but i'd enjoy that, i think. one of my favorite mamas has become a delightful FB friend.

I have been lucky enough to personally meet a few area moms that I met FIRST on Mamapedia!

Facebook, email, talk. I will one day meet them it is just a matter of when I will be in their direction or the other way around.

When I was in London a few years ago I met six people from online, two different message boards. It was great.

Not personally but I'm *friends* with several on Facebook and wasn't until I *met* them on here. =)

I haven't yet - but I am friends with a few on FB and one even helped me survive accounting!!

I hope to meet one of them Memorial Day weekend and another one later in the summer!

Yes, I met up with a girl from Mamapedia, actually Mamasource. We had kids close in age. We went to a few events together and she introduced me to some people that ran inexpensive exhibits for business. From there I have met many other people and actually met my daughters godmother. She has moved, but we are still FB friends.

Yes. In fact, I have made 2 friends on here. One told me about a M.'s club which I am now a member of, and the other I meet every week for a play date. :)

I'm on FB with a few, and have met one in person....kind of by chance. I'm enjoying that quite a bit, but it makes you question everything you've written on here! Lol.

Yup I have and I have a few that Im friends with on facebook also.

I met a M. off of here once, but just the one day. She gave me a bag of maternity clothes in 2007. This was when this was just for my city and called "mamasource "

I read a question once and it sounded like one of the M.'s at my kids preschool. It was. Small world.

What a great idea! I'd love to meet up with some of the north Texas moms at a park or something for a get-to-know-ya! :) I personally know 2 members (one who recommended the site to me and one that I recommended).

I did meet one M. once. She started a playgroup and happened to be in my neighborhood once. I didn't continue meeting with them because their location changed but I think it was a good experience.

nope, not yet but wouldnt be against it. I met many gaming friends from Facebook and when I was addicted to WOW before my kids. Actually am still great friends with 2 WOW players and we meet regularly even though they moved to Arizona and Missouri. We try yearly to see each other. My husband doesnt get it, he never liked online games.

no, but that would be really cool as I would like to meet intelligent Moms who I have something in common with from time to time. :)

I joined in 2006 (when it was Mamasource and mainly for the area in which you lived) - I asked about moms groups and got a response from the founder of a moms group in which I was a member for a few years.
