Medical Chats?
Ok I was just wondering if anyone knows of any sites out there that you can chat with others about medical problems. See I am not looking for advice or anything. I just want to know if anyone else has experienced what I am going through or if they know what the possiblities of it might be.
Since August I have not been feeling right.
I had shin pains, felt like my bones were bruised. Just went away recently.
Since October I have been getting my dizzy spells back, I constantly have headaches but they are getting worse. Nauseous. Confusion, fatigue, now I am getting shortness of breath and pains on my left side of my chest, kind of feels like there is a huge bubble or something in my chest, constipation, and my hernia that I had repaired is now hurting. Could this just be from gaining weight? I am currently on Propanolol for high blood pressure. I have seen the dr. She checked for diabetes, chloestrol, anemia and a few others. I also had her remove my IUD, cuz i thought maybe the hormones were doing this. But still the same. She tried to give me Naproxen for the headaches that does not help at all. And made me stop caffiene for two weeks didnt stop any of my symptoms. Does anyone else out there experience this or have an idea of what it could be. Well thank you. I am just at the point of frustration. I hav no energy, I cant take these headaches any longer.

The only thing I would advise is to find a good Chiropractor. I was getting really bad migranes and had some other issues and I was amazed at how the chiropractor helped me. All the doctors would do was prescribe meds which helped, but the migrains didn't come any less frequently. I could go on and on about the benifits of a good chiropractor. Truely they help everything from the common cold to more serious ailments.
Good Luck!

I am not a doctor, but I have read a little bit about blood pressure medicatons. Have you talked to your doctor about changing the BP med you are on, or maybe trying something natural, like grapeseed extract and phytosterols? I get my vitamins from a company that has a patent and proven results using grapeseed extract, omega 3 fatty acids and phytosterols to bring down blood pressure and lower cholesterol without side-effects. Look at this webpage http://www.mentalhealth.com/drug/p30-i02.html. What you are experiencing could be side-effects related the the medications you are on.
BTW- Naproxen doesn't do anything for my headaches either. It is good when you have a bad sore throat, though.

Have you had your thyroid checked? Often, hypothyroidism can develop after pregnancy. Also, you may want to make sure that you are eating properly and minimizing carbs. With 2 small kids it's easy to eat poorly. I started getting a lot of chest pains and exhaustion when my kids were that age. The doctor found out I was hypothyroid and that I had low potassium. I make sure to have a glass of orange juice and a banana every morning as well as a vitamin. I also take my thyroid medicine every day and feel much better now. I actually had to be referred to an endocrinologist before the problems were diagnosed so you've just got to keep persevering to get your condition diagnosed. Good Luck! I hope you feel better soon.

I would definately seek out a different opinion. I had to go back to my doctor 3 times before they ran a different Diabetes blood test. Come to find out I am borderline Diabetic. I had the same symptoms with the shortness of breath, dizziness, confusion, nauseous, I as always shaky and irratable. I am now on a special diet to help me loss weight and also on a diabetic medication that I take once a day in a pill form. You definately need a second opinion!

If your heart feels like it is racing when you have the chest pains and shortness of breath it may be Whit Parkinsons Desease. My brother and neice have it they experience the same as you have minus the shin pain and bruising but its a serious condition i would go see a cardiologist and have a stress test done on ur heart. My neice found out she had it when she was 16 and my brother 36 and i also have to go into the md to be checked for same thing. Good luck

Hello, all adults should drink at least 64 ounces of water per day. Hydration is essential to whole body health. Cutting the caffeine is just an overall good idea, especially if it's coming from soda. If you absolutley must have caffeine, try cutting it to just one drink a day, early morning being the best time. Try having one mug of green tea or half caf. coffee if you don't like tea. Be aware that chocolate and peanuts contain caffeine also. This may not resolve all of your ailments, but drinking enough water is very important to beginning to feeling better. You live in the dryest part of the country. Caffeine is a diuretic, drinking caffeinated drinks can actually work against your hydration goals. This is just a suggestion from a fellow mom. It'll be difficult to drink that much in one day at first, but if you keep a 32 ounce water bottle, I use a nalgene bottle, and fill it twice a day and make sure that you finish it by the end of the day. I hope you begin to feel much better very soon. K.
