Medela Regular Nipples

Help! We have all of our Medela bottles ready to go for our daughter, but I threw out the nipples because I wanted to buy new ones. Well now all I can find are WIDE base nipples which don't fit the regular old Medela bottles. Has anyone else run into this problem? And how did you solve it? I don't want to buy all new bottles when ours are fine.

What can I do next?

Maybe you already solved this problem already. I contacted the company online, and they shipped me rings to fit the wide nipples with my existing bottles. They told me they were available in some sort of supply kit in stores, but I've never seen them. Plus, I had everything but the nipples, so I didn't need any sort of kit. Hope this helps! It was very annoying to me that the package claimed they fit all standard Medela bottles.

P.S. As per other responses, the older Medela bottle are all BPA free, I checked.

I am not sure if you purchased the medela bottles after the bisphenol-A issue was resolved, but it is worth checking into. I know they pulled them off of the shelves in the USA quite a bit later than they did here in Canada, and to be on the safe side, I tossed all of my daughters bottles (which were practically brand new since she was breast fed to 13 months then went straight to a sippy cup). Now, we have baby #2 on the way and I will buy a few more bottles to go with the nipples we already have and play it by ear. Good luck!

My son prefers Gerber and they fit the Medela system perfectly without problems or leaking.

my medela bottles are standard size.. so any standard nipple will fit.

They might have a differnt shaped cap.. but a standard cap and nipple will fit.. try regular gerber nipples rings and caps..

it might be cheaper to buy new bottles with allthe parts.. you only need a few adn standard bottles will fit the medela pump.
