I used the in style advaced with a hands free bra.

Loved the freestyle, but I never used the hands-free option. I had a strong feeling my toddler would have tried to "help" by pulling on them or something. I pumped while holding them on with one hand (arm across chest) and read with the other. Worked for me!

For pumps my best advice is...buy a Medela Hospital Grade Pump on Ebay...then when you're done..you can resell it on there ..sometimes for more than you paid..best pump out there..you can rent one at the Pump Station to try it out..but actually best if you just buy one and resell it..i bought 2...the one with the case the Pump Station bought off me..then i sold the other to a mom on a parent site called Peachhead..both sold for $50 more than i paid for them...if u do this try to get one with a case..will probably cost you around $400 but trust me...its the best pump..also get the easy expression bra ..you can pump hands free with that on..

good luck hope this was helpful

Like another poster mentioned, I also used the medela in style advanced with a hands-free bra. I did most of my pumping at work, in my office. The combination of the pump plus hands-free bra worked great and allowed me to check my email while I was pumping at my desk. Funny thought, I know!

I have the frestyle, but never used the hands free option. I found that I got more milk when I sat, relaxed, and pumped without trying to keep the pumps on hands-free and try to do another task...it was probably all mental. It was nice to be able to sit and "relax" (I know it sounds weird, but with a newborn and a 15 month old it was the only time I got to sit!) for 10-15 minutes and read a magazine while pumping.

I do love the freestyle...it was so super small, convenient, quiet, and gentle but productive. I would highly recommend it.

I have an older pump and went to a specialty store so I could try on a hands free bra. I relax more with it because I can focus on something else, not just try to hold those shields on and listen to the pump. I wish I had this hands free thing going on with my first. I absolutely love it.
