We also use Pediatric Healthcare and are very impressed with the whole staff. Our Dr. is Sutton but we have seen Dr. Menchaca are more then one occasion when Dr. Sutton has been out, and we've seen the Nurse Practioner, they are all wonderful. Good Luck!

ABC Pediatrics Dr. Suzanne Dugopowski (spelling?) She is wonderful we never wait more than 5 minutes to see her. She takes time to answer our questions, opened on Saturday for sick visits. I love her! She is on Virginia in McKinney

We LOVE Dr. Menchaca at Pediatric and Associates. She's in Dr. Kessinger's office off Eldorado Pkwy and Highlands (there is a Primrose on the corner next to them). She's been our Pediatrician since our son was born in 11/05 and our twins love her (they are 5 1/2) and our son. She is cautious, detail oriented, young and up on everything which has proven to be a blessing for our family!

Hi J.. I think that is the trade-off. If you want the doctor to be very prompt, they don't usually have a lot of time to spend with patients. If they take the time, then they are either running late on the rest of the appointments, or they book larger blocks of time for each patient and the appointments fill up quickly. (So it's harder to make a last-minute appointment.)

I would suggest you try Dr. Menchaca at Pediatric Healthcare Associates (info below). She is VERY good with kids. We don't typically wait in the waiting room very long. Back in the exam room, I think I've waited about 20 minutes at most. But Dr. Menchaca has a lot of toys for the kids to play with while you wait. There are 4 doctors and one nurse practitioner at this facility and honestly ANY of them would be a good choice.

Dr. Simmon's is our family doctor. We have been seeing him since the birth of our 2nd son and we won't have to ever look again for another doctor for any of us. It's a huge relief since we went through several pediatricians looking for one that fits our very specific expectaions.
At Personal MD I have NEVER had to wait to be seen, our office appointments are thorough and Dr. Simmons is typically in talking with us for 30 minutes at the least. I have never felt rushed. All of my questions have been answered thoughtfully and has always makes each of us feel comfortable.
We have talked to him personally on his cell on Saturdays, Sundays and unfortunately until 11:45 one dreadful night. I called him one evening at 5:15pm when my son had an ear infection, he told us to come by and he would stay until he sees us. We LOVE Dr. Simmons and his staff at Personal MD. I highly reccommend taking a look at his practice and seeing if it is something that fits your family's needs.

I agree with several below. We use Dr. Kessinger with Pediatric Healthcare Assoiciates. I just picked his name off of a list from my OB and it was a blessing. We spend very little time in the waiting room. The nurses are polite. I have had all 4 docs in the practice see the girls and they have all been wonderful. I can call an get an appointment same day every time for illness. And they have sick hours on Saturday. They were also very nice at the hospital if you are going to have any more. We were at Medical Center of Plano. Good luck!
