Maternity Clothes - Minneapolis,MN
Hello! I am 16 weeks pregnant with baby #2 and needing some new maternity clothes. Where do you ladies shop for maternity coats, PJ's, and work clothes? I live in Bloomington and work in Mpls so someplace not too far from those cities would be best. Thanks!

Nine is a great maternity consignment store on the corner of Diamond Lake and Nicolett in south Minneapolis(just west of 35W).

Highly recommend Clothes Mentor in Minnetonka. Largest selection of reasonably priced items. H&M now also has maternity and I think opened a Southdale location

Motherhood Maternity found in most major malls or online at:
http://www.motherhood.com
Babies R Us carries some stuff in their stores(there's one off 494/Penn in Bloomington), Target carries the Liz Lange line, Kohl's has nice casual stuff, but small selection, and Burlington Coat Factory found in many T.C. locations (3700 Hwy 100 in St. Louis Park might be the closest to you but check their site to be sure) has good basics for mom and a surprisingly great selection of baby furniture, clothes and supplies.
While expecting, I really got away from shopping at stores. I had much better luck shopping online for stuff. You can shop anytime, anywhere, and I personally think you have better luck finding coats and outer wear, nice and unique stuff than in the stores which tend to have bad selection or are overpicked. Here are some of my favorites:
www.gapmaternity.com (GAP stores carry some stuff, but it's better online)

Congrats on the new baby!
I had the best luck shopping for maternity clothes at Gap. The Gap stores at the Southdale mall and at Woodbury Lakes seemed to have the best selection, but online was even better.

Hi S.,
I too wanted to look for maternity clothes but didn't want to spend too much. If you are looking for new maternity clothes check out Motherhood Maternity. They have some cute things. If you are looking for gently used items there is a large sale happening this weekend for "Just Between Friends". You can check out the website at www.jbfsale.com It is from Oct 22 to 24 at 8401 83rd Ave N, Brooklyn Center (Hwy 169 & 81 next to fleet farm), or I looked on line and found Bellies to Babies located in Richfield www.belliestobabies.net, or Nu Look Consignment located in Mpls. 4956 Penn Avenue South - www.nulookconsignment.com, I have not tried any of these places yet as I am 19 weeks along and just at the point of needing maternity clothes. Hope this helps.

If you are looking for new clothes at a good price, go to Old Navy at the MOA. They have a nice maternity dept. Also Motherhood Maternity, which is a little more expensive, but still reasonable.
If you don't mind "mildly used" maternity clothes, go to Bellies to Babies in Richfield. It's on 66th & Penn, just a little bit south of Bruegger's Bagels. Great store! And you can sell them there when you are done.

try your local thrift store instead of spending huge prices on a few months of clothers,,,
