I am in extreme like with the Covergirl lash blast in the big orange tube. It has a plastic (hard) brush and it makes my lashes really long. Remember that mascara only has about a 3 month shelf life, so that could be why it's clumping.

I love anything by Loreal. Their mascara is not too thick. I have started using the "telescopic explosion" and it does have a unique brush (the round ball) and really does get even the smallest lashes. I agree with the person that states you must use mulitple coats. That is absolutely the best way to put it on. Very little-several times.

Try Revlon. Their product is pretty good and; and we have to watch how we apply it. Revlon has a primer on one end and the actual mascara on the other end. Once you prime it all you have to do is coat it with the mascara and it won't clump

Warm up your mascara before you put it on. Hold it under your armpit, between your thighs, or even under your breast. The heat makes it more liquid, it goes on easier and clumps less.

I love both Cover Girl Lash Blast ( in the big orange tube ) like Sandy for thick lashes, but also the other Cover Girl one in the purple/lavender tube for lengthening.

I used to work for Lancome and definitely make sure you are replacing your mascara every three months because you will get major clumping after its shelf life. I was a die-hard fan of Lancome's Definicils, but it's very pricey so I had to stop using it. I am now in LOVE with Cover Girl's Lash Blast - in the orange tube. I have been using it since they introduced it about a year or so ago and I get no clumps when applying my mascara. FYI... I also found out that Costco carries a three-pack of it for a great price.

Hi A.!

I've tried many over the years and I love Cover Girl Professional, waterproof! It makes my lashes long and stands up well in water and crying. The fancy ones never worked for me! Good luck!

A.,
I agree with the three months being the best life of the mascara. However, I have a solution that makes it last longer. When I notice that it is starting to clump, I put three drops of saline solution (contacts) or eye drops in it and slowly mix it a bit with the brush. It works wonderfully and last quite a bit longer. I like the cover girl and maybelline brands.
Good luck!

I have tried a ton of mascara - but the only one I will use is Avon Washable Waterproof mascara! It doesn't clump, it is totally smudgeproof/waterproof - but it washes off with soap and water (I usually use a facial cleansing wipe). I can only use waterproof mascara - and some require industrial strength make up remover to get off - with half my lashes come off in the process!!!
