My grandma brought over a bag of marshmallows shaped like bunnies yesterday, and I want a recipe for them. I dont want them to sit around long, or my daughter and I will just eat them. :-) I was thinking something with fruit, like a fruit and marshmallow salad?

What can I do next?

My mom makes an "ambrosia" salad that has marshmallows in it. You mix together the following:

Oranges (peeled and cut into segments, removing the membrane and seeds)
Seedless Grapes
Can of Fruit Cocktail (the kind with the cherries)
Bananas (peeled and sliced)
Shredded Coconut
Chopped Pecans or Walnuts (optional)
Marshmallows

Cranberry Fluff

1 bag Fresh Cranberries
1 cup Sugar
1 can Crushed Pineapple, Drained
1 bag Mini Marshmallows
1 tub Frozen Whipped Topping

Freeze cranberries before use. Chop frozen cranberries in a food processor and put in a bowl. Add sugar, mix and let stand in refrigerator for at least 8 hours. Add the can of drained pineapple, stir and drain again. Add 1 1/2 cups marshmallows and stir. (You may add more to taste.) Add the tub of whipped topping; stir. Serve. Optional: you can also mix in some dried coconut.

Scrumptious Strawberry Salad

2 packages Strawberry Jell-O, 3 Ounces Each
2 cups Water, Boiling
20 ounces, weight Frozen Strawberries
2 cups Heavy Cream
4 cups Mini Marshmallows

Preparation Instructions:

In a large bowl, dissolve the Jell-O in the 2 cups boiling water. Add the frozen strawberries (which can be in syrup or not), stirring until fruit separates and mixture thickens. Meanwhile, in a separate bowl, whip the heavy cream till whipped-cream consistency is reached (you also could do this step first). Fold the marshmallows and whipped cream into the Jell-O mixture until no streaks remain. Put mixture into a 9-by-13-inch pan, then chill in the fridge

A favorite I got from my mom is a fruit salad
mandarin oranges
pineapple (canned is fine)
marshmallows
maraschino cherries
raisins
dates
bananas

mix it all together with vanilla yogurt. I've used strawberry yogurt too and it tastes great. The bananas are really the only thing that won't keep for a few days, so you can leave them out. I don't measure anything, just use a couple of cans that are drained and as much of everything as I want and then enough yogurt to cover everything.

My kids and I just got back from an Easter party at church. I made a snack mix of the marshmallows bunnies, multigrain cheerios, yogurt covered mini pretzel twists and pastel M&M's. It was a hit with the kids. You could fill baggies or little containers with a cupful of the mix and eat for snacks on the go. Or you could pass them out as treats to other kids (neices, nephews?) for Easter.

This is a recipe for cherry salad I make for all our family holiday gatherings:

2 cans cherries
1 can pineapple tidbits
1 cup marshmallows
1 medium container of sour cream (8 oz., I think)
1 cup powdered sugar
1/2 cup coconut (optional)

Just drain the fruit well, mix the sour cream and powdered sugar together and fold into the fruit. Add the marshmallows and coconut. If you let it sit over night - or even for 5-6 hours the marshmallows get soft and it's super yummy.

Love marshmallows....several ways....quick and easy
Jello is the best, any flavor like raspberry, strawberry, peach, add bananas, canned pineapple crushed or tidbits drained, and marshmallows. Was a staple growing up and my son loved it, still does. Other fruits are good like peaches, strawberries, fruit cocktail. Can be served with whipped topping.

Another good one we loved was fresh oranges cut up with bananas, marshmallows, sweeten to taste.
Can make "ambrosia" add coconut, pineapple, marascino cherries, there are several recipes. Sometimes called five cup fruit salad, some have several dressing recipes to go with it, marshmallows added.
Some Watergate pistascio salads have marshmallows.

Another favorite, 24 oz. carton of creamy cottage cheese, 2 pkg. dry orange jello, (have used pineapple jello in the mix and crushed pineapple also) mix well, then add 8 oz cool whip, 1 can mandarin oranges drained, marshmallows. Can use all sugar free, fat free.
ENJOY

Well, you're in MO.....so you're weather is probably like mine. How about hot chocolate for one.
Also, 5 cup salad. You can put in marshmallows, and any 4 other fruits you want, peaches, pineapples, grapes, etc.
Or maybe roast them on an open fire.
Good Luck and have fun.

My grandma (and now my mom and I) make a salad from marshmallows, crushed pineapple, grated cheddar cheese and mayonnaise. Unfortunately, I don't really know the measurements. I'll take a guess:

1 can crushed pineapple, drained (regular size can)
1cup grated cheddar cheese
1/2 - 1 bag of marshmallows
1/4 -1/2 cup mayonnaise (enough to hold the other ingredients together, but not enough that you can tell that there is mayo in the salad)

Refrigerate and enjoy!
