Make Up
I am interested in learning more about Origins make up... does anyone out there use it?
I have SUPER sensative skin... the less I do, the better. I have tried Arbonne and had a very bad reaction from it. I currently use some Neutrogena make up products and cover girl... but I would like something light and fresh... something for the dark circles under my eyes.
The last time I bought make up was like six years ago for my wedding, which goes to show you the amount of make up I wear on a daily basis... LOL
Anyone have advice? It would be nice if I didnt have to spend a fortune doing this either.
Thank you!

I have really bad dark circles under my eyes and bare essentials does not cover. I use cover girls concealer to try to hide my dark circles.

I haven't used Origins because they seem to do a lot with fragrance. I am a sensitive skin person too - can't even wash my face more than once a day.
For the eyes, I think I have tried everything from the drug store & every counter at department stores. I'm Greek and blessed with MAJOR under eye circles. I have settled on Clinique eye cream - doesn't cause any reactions for me - a lot of the others I tried had lavendar or citrus in them. It also was supposedly formulated to help w/ dark circles. As a concealer, Yves Saint Laurent makes a 'highlighter' pen that is incredible. It's $40 - very spendy - but it lasts forever and actually conceals through the entire day. You won't look in the mirror at 5:00 to see that it has disappeared like most!
I know you are looking for something affordable, but it seems with these products you get what you pay for. I can buy cheap mascara or eye liner and they all work the same, but for your skin...and especially with sensitivities...these have worked for me.
Btw - most counters will give you a small sample to try, or let you return it if you have any issues. Good Luck!

I don't know much about Origins, but I am a Mary Kay Beauty Consultant. We formulate our skin care and makeup for sensitive...very sensitive skin. I'd love to come by during your boys' nap time and show you some things...we can try them on your arm first just in case you do have a reaction. I've been a consultant now for 4 years, so I know the stuff. You can call me or go on my website so we can schedule your appt. Can't wait to hear from you!

I use Origins eye shadows, and Underwear for Eyes and love it. I also use some of their other skin care products and have never had any problems. However, as far as things like foundations and blushes, I use either NuSkin or Bare Essentials with the latter being what I currently wear. With either one of the latter I have fallen asleep with the stuff on my face and wake up with my skin feeling better than it did the day before.

Have you tried the mineral powder make up - it is light & has some coverage. Sophera Store in the Oak Park Mall has a section of Bare Minerals & you can try before you buy.

I've heard that Clinique and Bare Escentuals are great for sensitive skin. I know Clinique is reasonably priced, not sure about Bare Escentuals... good luck!

Bare Minerals is really light and covers well. I have also heard good things about Sheer Cover, but have not tried it yet. I also don't wear makeup and have problems with my face breaking out and have good luck with Bare minerals covering up and not making the breakouts worse. Good luck, hope you find somethinig that works for you.
