Make-up - Cuyahoga Falls,OH

Hi Mamas, does anyone know of a good drug-store brand or relatively inexpensive make-up line that has an awesome oil-free mineral powder/foundation? I don't like to spend a lot of money on make-up, but I still would like to get my hands on a good one. Also, anyone know of any good daytime moisturizers that are oil-free and fight the aging process?? (with Retinol or alpha hydroxy) Again, nothing too expensive. Drug-store brands preferred.

Thanks!

What can I do next?

Loreal True Match make-up is the best i have used -- of all the drug store and dept store brands i have tried!

for day moisturizer, i would get one with an spf in it -- neutragena or oil of olay have good ones.

I love Mary Kay mineral powder foundation, its only $18 and last about 6 months! Cant beat that and you get a good amont of powder in comparison. They also have a very affordable skin care line that last about 4-6 months, all age fighting and I've been usuing it for 3 years and very satisfied.

I personally use the Bare Minerals but I have also used the Maybelline Mineral Power Powder foundation and I liked it also. I use the Aveeno skin care line in the winter and an acne based one in the spring/summer. My mom uses the olay face products and she loves them (and she hardly has any wrinkles or skin discoloration). I don't know if you have a Meijer store near you but I think they have a Meijer brand line that is similar to the Olay line. And if you don't like it, you can return it to the store and get your money back, no questions!

L'Oreal has a powder mineral foundation that's really nice and not insanely expensive. I'm drawing a blank on the name, but they only have one that's like this, so it would be easy to find. All drugstores seem to carry it.

The least expensive mineral-based make-up you can get is from Avon. There is a link on my profile and you can look WITHOUT buying anything (and if you do buy, it ships to you - nobody comes to your house). My sister and SIL recently bought some and were very happy. There were previously Bare Minerals users and just couldn't afford it anymore.

I don't really wear make-up but have used Avon's skin care for years. Unfortunately, I find the higher end Avon age-fighters to be pricey (by my standards) and I have to add orange oil because I don't care for the scent (nope, I am not a great sales-person, but hey - I am honest! LOL! :)

Your best drug store brand is probably Olay. Also - if you have some alone time at home, you can boil some water in a pot, put a towel over your head and hold your head over the pot (take the pot off the stove first, of course). Once you are good and sweaty, smear honey on your face and leave it on for 10-20 minutes before washing your face again. This is the BEST for softening/moisturizing skin while fighting break-outs and hardly costs anything.

Best of luck to you!

Like Jilly I like the True Match but have found the Infallible much better, it comes in the same shades as the True Match has less sparkle to it and sticks better. I also use the Neutrogena Healthy Skin face lotion.
