Main Dish
I know this may sound weird to some of you, but I am looking for a main dish recipe that uses chocolate or cocoa. I plan on using this for a February "theme" dinner trying to incorporate the chocolate for that famous holiday of the month! If anyone has any recipes they'd like to share, I would greatly appreciate it! Thanks.

I've heard that a real "Cincinatti chili" contains chocolate. You should be able to find a recipe for it online.

Hi K.. My name is J. and I thought that maybe I can help you. If you go to foodtv.com and type in chocolate, you will find a ton of recipes. I am a tv food junkie! There is a recipe for a chocolate pizza which may be fun for you. I am also a Pampered Chef consultant and did not find anything in our recipes, but if I can help in anyway, please let me know.
have a great and blessed day!

Hi K.,
I am sorry that I do not have the actual recipe, but I do have a good idea for you... look up a recipe on the internet for chicken mole... it is a Mexican dish that uses unsweetened chocolate sauce with chicken... I personally do not like it, but most everyone else does...
good luck,
S.

How's about a Mexican mole dish? Mole is a sauce made with chocolate. Here's a link to some sample recipes: http://www.texascooking.com/features/aug2004molerecipes.htm
I myself don't have one favorite, but I do enjoy it when I eat out and can find it.
Enjoy!

1/4 chile poblano pepper
3 chiles pasillas (poblano, or can substitute a red pepper)
3 chiles ancho (dried version of poblano)
a handful of almonds
a handful of sesame seeds
turkey stock
a hard roll (1/3 concha roll)
peanuts
1/2 onion
wine
2 squares chocolate
anise
lard ( I don't use lard, I use whatever is on hand)
cinnamon
pepper
sugar
seeds from the chiles
5 cloves garlic
Cook a turkey.
The almonds and sesame seeds are toasted in a griddle. The chiles anchos with their membranes removed, are also toasted - lightly, so they don't get bitter. Do this in separate frying pans. Afterwards the toasted chiles are ground on a stone along with the almonds and sesame seeds.
When the almonds and sesame seeds have been thoroughly ground, mix them with the stock in which the turkey was cooked and add salt to taste. Grind the cinnamon, cloves, anise and pepper in a mortar, adding the roll last, after frying in lard with chopped onion and garlic.
Next, combine the mixture with the wine and blend well.
Combine all the ingredients in a large pan, add the cut up turkey, the chocolate, and the sugar to taste. As soon as the mixture thickens, remove it from the heat.
