Losing Weight While Breastfeeding - Lewisville,TX

I had a baby in December and since then I have lost over 80 pounds. I started out being 100 pounds overweight so I'm really happy about the weight loss but it's coming off so fast that I have some excess skin now. I exercise and walk everyday and drink plenty of water, but is there anything else I can do to help with the extra skin? Am I just going to have to be happy looking only good in my clothes now?

What can I do next?

not much you can do for stretched skin other than surgery. You can tone and develop muscle under it all you want, but the saggy skin will still be there. I went from a size 16 to a size 2 - and while I look great wearing clothes, everything is actually pretty gross to look at while naked.

Weight training also helps, and I second the pilates. I have 50 pounds to go 9 years later, so you're doing great! Good luck!

Pilates!!!!! :) with those machines. They really work in toning up the tummy and core area.
and tushy and arms.

I put on 30 lbs (I am short - 5 ' 4")...I lost it all and did pilates and my body is 90% what is was...I am 45 so that is fine for me. i also breast fed.

good lucki.

I weighed 125 before getting pregnant and then weighed 200 lbs when I delivered. I lost all the weight but still have extra skin. 3 year later (and 2 year working with a personal trainer) it is still there. I'm sorry to say it might just be part of your body now, but there are ways to dress nice and hide it! Even though I am a size 2 and can wear cute clothes there are some things I can't wear because of my extra tummy skin. Good for you for losing all that weight...try to look at the positive parts of your body that you like. I love how toned my arms are so I wear things that show those off :)

Losing weight slower will prevent sagging, be sure to work out and eat right.

Not really once the skin is streached it's kinda there. I'm in the same boat. I had my baby in feb and she was huge! Like over 10pounds. I've lost all the weight but my belly looks awful:( I actully started a savings account to get a tummy tuck next year when I stop breastfeeding.

I'm not sure how old you are, but the younger you are the better your skin will bounce back over time. You're doing everything right to be healthy. Try giving it some time to adjust and eventually you may need to look into surgery. Congrats on the healthy lifestyle!!
