Try to do more walking. I lost a lot of weight when I first started my new job because it required me to walk a lot.

Hi D. - There are some gyms that are now offering childcare included in the gym membership. I have a one and a two year old, and this works well for us. For about $50/month, I can go everyday and they watch the kids while I work out. I don't go everyday though! But, say you get to go twice a week...that's still cheaper than a babysitter, and you are right there with the kids and you can look in on them at any time. Sometimes they even do fitness stuff with the kids. You could always see if you can get a trial membership first, that way you're not locked in if it doesn't work. :) L.

I can tell that alot of moms have time to work out. If your schedule is anything like mine then you know there is NO time. Tae bo is 1 hr, walking is a half hour. I have a 1 year old and work over 50 hours a week and my commute is 1hr each way both days. I looked into some things and found that there is a "Going Going Gone" dietary supplement from Arbonne that is botanically based. There is not Aphedrine, there is no hoodia, it is all natural. I was 5'9" 200lbs after Ethan and I am now 130. Curbed my appetite and I still have not worked out. If you want to ask me about just email. Good luck, I feel your pain!

You will notice a difference by just taking the parking spot that is further away and choosing the steps instead of the elevator. Get a pedometer to count steps and try to make it to a certian point every day.

Wow, you've already got a lot of responses. I was just going to say to try the Walk Away the Pounds by Leslie Sansone. You can check these and other videos out at the library. Also, if you change your diet, you will lose weight quickly. Try organic meats, cut out dairy, don't eat after 6 p.m. I recently lost 35 pounds doing this and some other things. Good luck!

try the YMCA. They charge you by month depending on your income a max of like $70. They have a daycare inside open from 8am-noon and then again 4pm-8pm included in the price. You can check in on them anytime and they always have activities going on with the kids. my kids beg to go there no clue that I enjoy it too. There a a lot of good classes and really nice people. They also give you a free assesment with a personal trainer who teaches you what to do and helps you set your goals then gives you another check up at 6weeks.

Hey there is an awesome website out there called sparkpeople.com It has a calorie tracker and it has a ton of people on there for support. I just started it myself on the 17th and have lost 20 lbs. Do you clean your house? Put on some music and do it at a faster pace. Anything can help. Spark people have lots of articles and groups with ideas on how to squeeze stuff into a busy lifestyle. Good luck on your weight loss goals!

Hello D.,
Thanks for highlighting a concern for most moms out there. What has worked for me as an Agent is to Schedule my exercise routine as an appointment just as if I were meeting with a client. Morning has worked for me. The house is 'almost' quiet and I can get it out of the way before the 'family obligations' also start bubbling. Ah Yes! I have an appointment with Denise Austin on LifeTime TV every morning (Mon - Fri) from 6AM to 7AM central time. I would suggest looking at your weekly schedule and see what would work for you. Remember D., you are a unique individual and only D. can take care of D.. Best Regards and good selling!!

I started my workout program on Dec. 4th. I found out I was going to the Bahamas next October and I am bound and determined to look good when I am there. I have already lost a pretty good amount...17 pounds!!! There is a website called www.gofigure8.com that has launched an 8 week challenge, just today actually. This challenge sounds super easy. The winner gets a $1000 spa gift certificate and there are tons of other prizes. You submit all of your data. You keep a food diary. You tell them your starting weight and your goal. You submit a before and after picture. They determine the winners by looking at your food diary, your before and after pictures, and how close you came to your goal. This is based on honesty. What do you have to lose besides weight??? It is free to register. Go get 'em girl!

Let me know if I can help in any way.

Hi D.,

Jorge Cruise has a great book, "8 Minutes In The Morning" that address the issue of fitting in a workout in a short period of time. I have been following his recommendations and have lost 27 pounds. You can get more information at www.jorgecruise.com or by purchasing the book.

Good luck!

Hi there I am the mother of 3 and have no time to go to the gym so I have started walking every evening with my kids. They love to get out in the fresh air. My oldest 2 ride their bikes and I put the baby in the stroller. We walk about a mile or more every night. S.

my friend was a big guy and he has recently lost a lot of weight. He started drinking diet soda instead of full flavor. it doesn't hurt that we walk alot where we work... you shop, you walk a lot, you chase after your 3 year old... if your 3 year old is anything like mine. you take them to the park and play with them. you eat right... don't even buy junk food for the kids... it's too tempting for you.

I do tae-bo, and eliptical, and weight training. Weight training is a new thing for me. The eliptical you can get in while you favorite tv show is on. Tae-bo burns tons of calories. You can also carry soup and fresh fruits and vegs with you and eat them often. Don't let yourself get hungry (I eat more if I am hungry). Always eat breakfast, expecially a breakfast high in fiber. And drink 8 to 10 glasses of water. This worked for me 163lbs to 125lbs and 33% bodyfat to 19%. Vitamins are important too. I hope you find this info helpfull. I also took before and after pics and measurements. It helped keep me motivated.

P.S.
There are 8 min workouts, 30 min, and 1 hour. And the 8 mins really are good when you dont have time. Break a sweat!
