Lose Weight in Butt and thighs...ugh!!

Is there any M.'s out there that have any ideas on how to lose weight in these areas?? I am not an overweight person at all. I'm 5'3" and weigh about 112 but I noticed since I'm over the age of 30 my body is not the same. I noticed I'm gaining weight in these areas along with gross cellulite!! I want to do whatever i can to help this go away. I'm ashamed to look in the mirror and it's ruined my relationship with my fiance to the EXTREME. Help me get back to my comfortable figure before Spring time, if that's even possible.

If you're only 112# you need a GREAT TRAINER! Trainer D. to the rescue......That should NOT be at ALL that hard with proper diet (plenty of fluids/water and staying away from processed and high sugar food) and some great functional exercises.....squats, lunges, step ups, etc. I do some kind of squat, some kind of lunge and some kind of lateral hip work in EVERY one of my client's workouts. Have some GREAT glutes & legs on clients to show for it!

If this has ruined your relationship with your fiance because HE doesn't like it, better find a new fiance. If it is because YOU don't like it, your need to up your self esteem. No one is perfect, and weight gain in the thighs and butt is healthier than gaining it through your trunk.

That said, exercise every day, walk, if you can't get out, run or jog in place. You can lay on your side and do leg lifts to help the saddle bags. Get on all fours and lift leg back and up to target the butt.
Look for an exercise video that targets these areas.

Good luck sweetie, but don't change because your fiance wants you too. Change because you want to. Remember you are the youngest and best right now that you are going to be for the rest of your life. Take advantage of it.

I have the same problem. I'm 35 and after having my daughter all of my weight gain went to my butt and hips. I am 5'5" and I weigh 125. I also have horrible cellulite. I was so bothered by it that I went to my doctor. She told me that I needed to avoid sugar, drink lots of water, exercise for at least 30 minutes a day and do squats and lunges. She said that those were the best exercises for your thighs and butt. She also told me that cellulite is hereditary and there is nothing you can do about it. She said that working out daily and watching what you eat will help tone those areas and also reduce the appearance of the cellulite.

I am almost 44, and my children are both adopted, so I did not experience any change to my body (just my heart, smile). I have been using an Avon product for years that is fabulous. It is called Super Shape Anti-Cellulite & Stretch Mark Cream. I am 5'4", 125 pounds and cellulite had plagued me for years. This product will take away 95% of those issues. I rub it in for at least 5 minutes a day using a "bliss slimulater" from blissworld.com: http://www.blissworld.com/product/cellulite/bliss+slimula... which basically just stimulates that area to get rid of the cellulite. Give it a try! And...my slowing metabolism is flipping me out. Never thought it would happen to me. Ha!

Have you ever tried pilates? I really like it bc when you're doing it, it's not like u feel you are going to pass out afterward...but you can definitely see the difference and you feel so sore the next day so you know it's working! they have pilates dvds pretty much anywhere in all different types. just get a yoga mat and ur dvd and get ready to see results. something that is a little more strenuous would be lunges. Those target your butt and thighs. do as many as you can handle a few times a day and you should see results. good luck!

If gaining weight in certain areas over others, spot exercise will certainly help. If you belong to a gym, ask a personal trainer or staff on duty. If you don't belong to a gym, then there are DVD's out there that can help you with those common trouble areas in women. In addition, there is a product that I enjoy. It is called Cell U Loss. It helps reduce the "Cottage Cheese Butt." Let me know if you want to know more. Exercise, sodium reduction, increase water and lower fat intake will definitely help!

You can google exercises for this and it will give you (and show them) for this. Squats and lunges of different variations are the only good exercise that will trim those areas but you have to be consistent with them. The cellulite hate to say, but nothing you can do about it, it's the "luck of the draw" of genetics.
