Looking to Start a Holistic Moms Chapter

I recently was referred to a National Organization known as the Holistic Moms Network. The only current chapter in the chicago area is in the Southwest suburbs. I am planning on starting a new group for the Northwest Suburbs. The group is a supportive group for moms and dads who believe in holistic, informed parenting. Topics of interest include nutrition, home-schooling, alternative health, breastfeeding, attachment parenting, and more. This group will hopefully provide a nurturing environment for learning, forming friendships, and sharing of ideas. I am sending this request to see if there are others interested in participating in this group. Send me your thoughts. Thanks.

i'd be interested, especially if meetings were somewhere within a 30 minute drive of home (i'd love less, but seeing that you're in barrington i'm guessing no luck there). there's actually an informal group that hasn't yet decided whether to become part of the national organization meeting in crystal lake once a month (which i attend), but i'd love opportunities to meet more moms in the general area and hear others' ideas and experiences as well.

J.- I would be interested in this. Have had a hard time finding people in this area that are supportive of such a lifestyle. But as a working Mom who commutes, I am also not able to do a lot of activities on weeknights or during the day. But if anything could be set up during the weekend, that would be great for me. Thanks!
