Looking to Install Granite Countertops in Our Kitchen
Hello moms. Does anyone have recommendations for a great granite fabricator/installer? We are remodeling our kitchen and cabiniets will be installed this week (hopefully). We're looking for quality craftsmanship and fair prices. Thanks a million!

Hi M.,
I'm in the middle of a huge kitchen remodel myself and our contractor has been an absolute God send. He's very busy but he's honest and he works hard. He actually shows up on our job early and sometimes even works weekends to meet goals. His name is Lou Feher and he has his own gig - Renovations Plus. The phone number is ###-###-####. He also built me a gorgeous huge plate rack that matches my new cabinets perfectly. Nobody would ever, ever believe he built it in my garage. I could not recommend him more. Also, we're installing granite through Southwest Granite and Marble at his recommendation. They met us at IMC in Dallas and helped us pick our our granite and they're due to install it in a few weeks. Again, great experience so far. They only will contract with you through your general contractor, though, so Lou could hook you up with them. Good luck and I hope it doesn't take too much longer!

M.,
I would say definitely take recommendations as you are doing from these ladies or go with home depot. We choose our own contractor, a company in Wylie and had a horrible, horrible experience. We were without counters for about two months, and the "cultured marble" counters they brought for our bathroom were unfinished and bubbling up. Then they tried to sell us cultured granite for less money than real granite for the kitchen and brought out this warped piece of dog doo. Not to mention the numerous times they just didn't show up at all to our house or gave us a barage of excuses like getting in a wreck, sick father, and on and on. Thankfully the installers (independent contractors) were honest and told us not to go that route. Finally we had to settle with granite counters that were not even the pattern or anything else we wanted just to be rid of this awful company. Not trying to scare you, just share my experiences, we will take referrals or go with the major companies from now on!! Good luck!

Hey M.! The only granite guy I ever use on all my remodel jobs is A&A marble, contact Rick Zuppa at ###-###-####.
