Looking for Youth-oriented (8Yr Old) Christian Church in Apache Junction Area...

Hi, I made a recent request back in April - looking for a youth-oriented Christian group/Church in the Apache Junction area that also worked with animals or horses with the children too - but got no responses, so I am assuming there isn't any.

So I am modifying my request and am now looking for any youth-oriented Christian group/Church in the Apache Junction area.
I would like to find a place that teaches Christianity, and would teach at a level that a young person (8yrs) could comprehend and live by.
I would like to get her involved in a spiritual religious group as she is now in the "absorbing" years and more capable of understanding.

I know that this isn't exactly in AJ, but it is very close. Superstition Springs Community Church on Elliot and Power are VERY child-oriented. They are constantly having things for the kids to do such as KidStuf and Treehouse during Backstage and all kinds of other fun programs. My kids are too young to really participate in the fun (they're only 20 months) but I do still hear about a bunch of the things that the kids do and it seems like they really have fun. And SSCC is such a laid-back church and not "preachy" at all. They are informative of God's word and ideals without shoving it down your throat. Just fun times for everyone, even the parents. If you are interested, come check it out for one or two weeks to see what it is all about. Then, if you aren't interested or your child doesn't like it, then check out some other places. I mean, you never know what will work for you until you try it. This Sunday there is not a normal sermon because it's Mother's Day, and they will be talking a lot about Mom's and mother figures and just having a nice service for them. But then a new series of sermons starts the following week.

Spring of Life Church is great! They have a wonderful Sunday program for the kids and they will be hosting a wed. morning VBS for summer. It has a science theme. They are located on Crismon and the US60. Good luck!

We attend Red Mountain Community church on Recker and Virginia Rd. We life at Brown and Ellsworth and it only takes us about 10 minutes to get to church. I have a 6 year old and a 4 year old and they love chuch! It is Evangelical Free and we have people coming from all sorts of backgrounds! Our service times and locations are on our website: www.rmcchurch.org We Have a large children's program and the kids love it! We are also running a "Summer Explosion" (VBS program) this year the week of June 23rd. That would also be a great place for your daughter to go as it's based on fun programming, but still teaching about God. I hope this helps. T.

Have you tried Spring Of Life Church on Crismon and Southern? We used to go there before we had children and we really liked it. There were a lot of activities for the children and they had a wonderful Sunday School Program. I am not sure what is like now and if the same minister is there, but it is worth looking into. We went over five years ago before it was in its own building.

Here is their website information: www.springoflife.org

I hope this helps.

I don't know of a non-denominational church there, but the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has a great youth program called Primary. I know of three buildings and you can look it up in the phone book, too. One on Ironwood south of Broadway, one on Crismon north of University, and one on Old West Highway near Southern. You can also look it up at lds.org for building locators and meeting times. Good luck!
