Hi! We're going to get a Wii system. Us parents are going to get Rock Band and Wii fit. I was wondering if anyone could suggest good games for 5 and 2 year olds. I think they'll get a kick out of the one with the golf, bowling, etc. What about any of the driving games? Is there anything that teaches at the same time they're playing? Thank you!

My 4 year old son loves the Madagascar and Ratatouille games. I like those because there is no cartoon violence of any kind and is very age appropriate. I highly recommend these!!!

MarioKart is a good one. My 5-year-olds LOVE the Lego Star Wars and Ben 10 games. Those are really good ones, but they still need a little assistance defeating some of the aliens. For a 2-year-old that is difficult. Happy Feet may be simple enough to play.

We love Wii Music, Lego Star wars, Wii Fit is really fun! I have a one and a half year old and a four and a half year old. They love those games. The baby can't really play much, but we give him a controller with no batteries and he "plays" too with his brother. With the Wii Fit, we put a white scale (like the one in the bathroom that you use to weigh yourself) next to the Wii Fit board (that is also white) and the big boy stands on the real Wii Fit board and the baby can use the scale with the dummy controller. It's really cute and fun. My friends have Mario cart and they love it.

I just wanted to let you know that my 2 year old LOVES Rockband 2. It has a "no fail" mode that you can put it on and she loooooooooves to sing. And the easy (might be called beginner) level on it is just strumming so your 5 year old will love it too! It's a fight in this house between the adults and kids to see who gets to play Rockband and Guitar Hero!

Hello, I am and mom of 2 and I got the Wii for myself for Christmas for the Wii Fit and I love it. However if you buy the Wii Sport, it comes with 5 games already, Golf, Tennis, Bowling,Baseball and Boxing. My kids are not you kids age (12 & 16) but they are some educational game out there. I find the best price for the Wii games is the Walmart wire (online thru Walmart). I place the order and pick it up at the store site. Enjoy!

The Outdoor Challenge, which comes with a mat, is VERY good for kids this age. It may take a little work to teach the younger one, but my three year old has become very good at the game. It is very interactive, and some of the games even encourage working together, as well as some having two player options. When we play with the kids, it completely wears us out. I highly recommend it! There are also some games like Cars, Barbie, Hotwheels, etc. Those are pretty good for the younger kids, as well as slightly older.

Not sure if you have boys or girls, but for girls, any of the Princess games are really fun, and they do involve numbers and grouping exercises. So they are fun and moderately educational, not to mention the hand-eye coordination exercises that Wii really works.

Have Fun!!!

Most Wii games aren't particularly educational. :) I can say that my 5 year old is a really good Wii player and can handle a lot of different games. The 2 year old is much trickier. The olny ones I would lean toward with a 2 year old are the Dora and Diego games. There are three. Diego and the dinosaur rescue, Diego and the safari rescue, and Dora saves the snow princess. I picked these up on amazon for $19 each. They aren't particularly hard or long and your 5 year old would probaly beat the game in a day, but they are fun for younger kids and most young kids don't mind playing the same game over and over.

other ones I have that the kids enjoy....Wii sports, Wii play, Mario Cart, and the spongebob games, as they are all spongebob fans.

Good luck!

Mario Kart but it only comes with one wheel. You might be able to find game with 2 wheels if not go on ebay and get 1 or 2 more wheels. You will also need another remote since the game system only comes with 1 remote.I got remote on ebay cheaper than what they cost in stores.Thats one thing I dont like about wii it only came with 1 remote control
