Just moved to Tempe and USA. Anyone who has great experience with day care centres or in home day care in Tempe? I want her to meet other children and have caring adults around her that interact in a warm way.
Need names and suggesteions of where to look! HELP!
have you tried www.craigslist.com under phoenix and then childcare. Lots of nannies and daycare providers advertise here when they have openings. But you have to do your own background checks and references! Or try www.azchildcare.org they fingerprint, cpr, background check and teach early childhood education to all providers on the site. Search for free by zipcode! Good Luck!

How old are they ? You can go to the Headstart Center in Mesa and enroll them in preschool for part day. They can let you know what schools are nearby you and the day care or bus can transport the kids to and from. Some of the Headstarts classes are full day but not all of them but the Headstart office can let you know who does and who doesn't.
I am in Mesa on Alma School and University so I really don't think that I would be much usefull to you otherwise...

I have my daughter (9 weeks old) in a wonderful home care in Tempe - between SOuthern and Broadway off Price Road. Jim/Mary have been providing daycare for over 30- years and have excellent references - I found them through a reference and feel like I'm leaing my daughter Rainee with Grandma and Grandpa. Their weekly rate of $125 is amazing for the care and love provided - my 9 week old just LOVES them. They provide healthy snacks and meals for children who are eating table food (not sure if that's the appropriate phrase for that).
They lost a good chunk of their children this year to preschool/kindergarten and are finding their home pretty empty for the first time in years. Rainee (my daughter) receives so much holding and talking to - she coos, smiles and lights up the instant we arrive at daycare each morning.
