Hi Everyone, I had a question and I thought this would a pretty good place to put it out there. A few months back I went to a friends baby shower and her mother-in-law did the cutest thing she bought a bunch of clothes and put it on a clothesline and then said a little paom that coordinated along with each peice. Does anyone know where I can find that poam and directions on what to do? My sisters shower is next month and I would love to do it for her it was just soooooooo cute. Or anything else anyone can think of that would be equally cute. Thanks for any help you all have.

What can I do next?

"My mother in law did the neatest thing for me before I had my baby. She invited me to her house for a Discovery Toys party. I got there and the lady gave her presentation, she had a huge display of everything you could imagine all set up. It was really nice. Well, after she gave her presentation, she started everyone playing the telephone game(where one
person whispers something to another and they go around the room doing that to see how much the message gets messed up). Anyway, I happened to be the last person to get the message and it was "this isn't really a Discovery Toys party, it's a baby shower for Lorie!" Then she looked at me and asked if I liked the things on display. Well, of course I did! I
love Discovery Toys! She told me, "well that's good, because it all belongs to you!" I was in tears. Everyone had ordered stuff for me ahead of time and then showed up for the "party"."

I can help you orchestrate something like this. I have tons of other ideas, too...just visit www.toysofdiscovery.com

Hi C.-
Another unique and much appreciated gift idea is to give a gift certificate to a portrait studio session and buy a picture frame.

Scentsy warmers are a cute unique gift for the nursery. LUXE VANILLA scent smells like a newborns nursery and is extremely popular for shower gifts.

I received a diaper pail with all sorts of things that I knew nothing about, like the "turkey baster" or the blue bulb to suck out the nose, a nail clippers, etc. you might also want to check out my website, www.nomiebaby.com for a very helpful gift, a removable, washable and waterproof car seat cover. She won't know how much she'll need it until that first time that she tries to take it off and clean it! Enjoy
Here's to happy-mess!

Hi C.,
Another idea is a diaper cake. After I received 2 at my own shower, I decided to try to make one. I've made a few now, and they always seem to be a hit at baby showers. I usually decorate with rattles, stuffed animals, or other items that mom & baby can use.
