Looking for Summer Care for My 8-Year Old.
My daughter has attended the First Baptist Academy the last two summers and really doesn't want to go back this summer. Does anyone have advice for good summer care for older children near downtown Dallas or Lakewood?

I live just north of 635 and Abrams Road. I run a registered home daycare and I will be caring for school age children who are out for the summer. Right now I have 3 girls ages 6-9 and my own daughter that is 18 months.
I have a pool and we swim quite a bit. We also try to go to water parks, fun parks, and a few other field trips.

Unfortunately, I do not have a referral for you. However, I was wondering if you could tell me about the summer camp at First Baptist Academy. I am looking for a summer program for my 7 year old daughter. Last year she spent the summer at her old daycare which only goes up to age 6 and I don't think she'll want to go back there this summer. Does the child need to already be enrolled at the Academy to be able to attend for the summer? How reasonable are the fees? Did your daughter enjoy it?

I'm north of WRL. I could do this for $150 per week for full time care. Contact me at ____@____.com if I can be of help.

My 9 year old daughter has gone to summer camp at both Children's Lighthouse and Children's Courtyard. They both have very active/structured summer programs and my kids LOVED them both!
