Looking for Sports Bra That Works
I was wondering if anyone knows of a high impact sports bra that works well for a woman with a D cup? I found some nice comfortable ones at Walmart that say high impact, but they just don't work well when I'm riding a horse! I heard Oprah talking about how she had to really search around to find a good sports bra that held her securely and she mentioned the one she finally found that did the trick, but I don't remember the brand name she gave. I was wondering if anyone knows or has any other suggestions.

For tennis and running I have found that the best bras are the underwire sports bras from Wacoal and DKNY. Expensive, but worth it. I'm a D cup too.

I SO feel for you - before having my children I worked out 5-6 times a week - high impact aerobics classes and running. Before I found the Enell sports bra (was on Oprah's show a few years ago) I would wear 3 different bras for support - no matter what a company said they never held me as I felt they should. So, go to Enell.com - I think I paid around $50-60 but it is worth it. I don't have the time to work out as much as I used to, but I've had it for 5 years and works like it's brand new!

I've always been very large (pre-pregnancy 34E and 36FF post) I LOVE my Anita brand sports bra (I think its the Anita Rosa Faia. I've been jogging lately and this bra has done the trick. I order most of my bras from figleaves.com. They have a great selection and easy returns which is nice. You can order a few sized and return what doesn't work.

I'm a 34DD, rode hunter/jumpers competitively, and did a triathlon, so I understand both your need for a good bra, and your frustration. It's very hard to find good, supportive bras when you're larger sized.
Try Title Nine. They have a catalog, and a website www.titlenine.com. their bras are rated by barbells, and you can trust them. If it says 4-5 barbells, it should work. I particularly like the frog bra and the Ban-the-Bounce bra.

I am a D/DD and I have been wearing this one by Champion for the past 10 years. It is excellent:

It is currently on sale on the Champion website...or I often find them new on eBay or other lingerie sites.
Good luck!

Hi L.,
I really found that Champion bras worked best for me. You have to pay for them, but I like the choices I get at the running stores. They are meant for high impact.
Good Luck,
K.
