Hi M.,
Welcome to Austin! I have several favorites for romantic dinners:
Fondue Experience: Melting Pot
Seafood: Eddie V's (impeccible? service)
Italian: Vespio on Congress, Belagio on 2222
Polynesian: Roy's downtown
There are also many restaurants at the Domain shopping center and a truly decidant Chocolate store, Vivo Chocolata. NORTH is one of my favs there.
Enjoy and Happy Anniversary!

Hudsons on the Bend is by far the best restaurant in the Austin area. We are never disappointed. I would highly recommend.

Hi M.,
one of my favorite resturants for special occasions is Hudsons on the Bend. The atmosphere is wonderful - its true central texas - and the food is amazing.
Have Fun!

You need to go to The Belmont. They have great food and great prices. They are located at 305 W 6th street just west of Lavaca. They have live music and a terrace deck. If you can catch Dale Watson on Tuesday nights on the deck it would be a perfect evening for you and your husband.

Vespaio on S. Congress and Hudson's on the Bend. A couple of other people have recommened these 2 places and they are both perfect for an anniversary. I've also heard that the restaurant at the new Mandola's winery out by the Salt Lick is beautiful and amazing. My parents went last night and said that it was just as nice if not nicer than some of the places they stayed in Napa. Good Luck!

Drive to the Arboretum and have a fabulous dinner at Truluck's. The piano bar is great and anything on the menu is delicious.
