Looking for Sciatica Pain Relief...27 Weeks Pregnant

I am 27 weeks pregnant with my second child, a boy, and suffering very bad sciatica pain. The pain shoots from my lower left back down my leg. Sometimes my leg gives out and I have to grab on to something so I do not fall. I have tried Tylenol, massages, heating pads, & stretching. I refuse to go to a chiropractor since the last one messed up my back. Is there anything out there that may help relieve my pain other than what I have tried? Any help will be greatly appreciated. I am sure the pain will go away once I have my c-section....that is what happened with my first pregnancy.

I had horrible sciatic pain with my last pregnancy. It is unbarable- and 12 weeks or so is too long to bear the pain!

I found great relief with homeopathic remedies. There are many "over the counter" remedies that are great for sciaticam but be sure to work with a practitioner since you are pregnant. If you'd like the name and number of my homeopath, send me a pm.

Why not try some physical therapy (one that specializes in pregnancy, like myself)? You can also try a support belt. See if icing helps rather than heat.

My friend swears by Arnica gel/cream. Ask your doctor about it. I believe it is natural. I saw it at Whole Foods one time. Good luck.

accupuncture.
my friend who is due is november is also suffering with sciatica and has been seeing a woman who does Chiropractor/accupuncturist/masseuse....

one who specializes in pregnancy is very important.
dont be afraid to see another chiropractor...there are some really great ones out there.

i know how painful it is, im sorry you are struggling.
feel better, and go find a new dr.
