Looking for Rx Glasses That Are Appropriate for a 2 Year Old Boy!!!

I first started wearing glasses at the age of two. My parents bought them from the Prairie Eye Center. They were made of flexible plastic and the ear peices were shaped like a "C" so that they completely wrapped around my ear. You might try there.

Try Eye Boutique in Schaumburg. They have a ton of children's glasses. My daughter has had glasses since she was 2 and is now 7.

hi - we have these and got them at our local eyeglass place called rosin's eyecare. they're a chain, but maybe just a few locations? they're rubber harry potter looking glasses with a strap on the back and our son keeps them on all day - he's had them for 6 mos. since he was 2.5. rosin's phone # is ###-###-####. if there isn't one near you, they can prob give you the brand. they had them in about 7 colors but i can't find a brand name on them. good luck!

The Rosin Eyecare Center at Loyola Medical Center (on 1st Ave. in Maywood) has just the glasses you're looking for. My two-year-old has been wearing them since she was 6 months old. They're made of a bendy plastic that won't break, and if the kid really twists them hard, the lenses pop out instead of cracking. They're inexpensive compared to regular frames too. I don't remember the brand name, but manager Erin Brennan will know exactly what you need.

I would also suggest having the parents ask their optician for a recommendation. The opticians are very well informed and can maybe even order a frame that would meet the parents' requirements.

L. - I also wanted to highly praise the early intervention program. My daughter was in it for speech therapy from 25 months until she aged out at 3:00. She then continued with speech therapy at NIU and graduated in December 2007! She will be 8 in June.

I took my daughter to Eye Specialists in Oak Lawn off of Southwest Highway. They also have an office in Orland Park on Ravinia Drive. They have an awesome optical department for little ones.
