I am thinking of going back to work in August when my son will be 10 months old. I am really struggling however finding a day care center that I feel comfortable with. Can anyone give me positive/negative feedback about day care centers in the Gilbert area?
Thanks!!

What can I do next?

S.,

Depending on what hours you work, my 17 year old daughter may be able to watch your children in your home if you would like. She is pregnant at this time and she has her senior year in high school to finish. As soon as she finds out her class schedule, she may be able to help you out. At least till she has hers. Then she may even be able to just take a week or two off watching yours, and bring her baby with her to watch yours. Let me know what you think and if you have found anything at all.

Thanks,

L.

It's hard to say. My kid is 3. I don't recommend Childtime on Chandler/Pennington because of mold smell and backyard safety issues. Sunrise Preschool might be a good option. I think you can test drive a day at Kindercare. We did that once for the one on Ray & McQueen. We ended up taking him to Tutor Time for a month but that was a mistake. He has mild autism so they didn't help him in anyway but waste my money.

So unless your kid naps and does things according to their schedule forget it. Best bet, is to get a daily/monthly schedule from each place and find out if that's what you're looking for.

Good Luck!

When i was looking for daycares (I literally checked out 10 different places) Usually you can take the que from your child on how comfortable they are when you check them out. The only one my son got down and felt comfortable speaking to the teachers was at Tutor Time on Recker and Guadalupe. I loved the people there and my son loved going there. I never had really any issues with them. The other thing i liked about Tutor time is that i could call anytime i wanted and speak to my son or the teacher directly and that there is cameras in the room as well that i could sit in the directors office and watch. They also let me do a trial day where i took my son for a half of day and see how he reacted and they said he cried for about 5 minutes and participated in the activities they had. Also, when it gets to hot outside they have a little play town in the middle of the center so that way the kids could still play and wouldn't be in the heat.

The one i definitely will not recommend is La Petite- I have had so many friends kids come home with black eyes, scrapes, gashes and no one knows what happens
