Looking for Reasonable Priced Vet near McKinney

I have two dogs who are due on shots next month and I am looking for a great vet that may be cheaper than the one we went to last time. Any recommendations would be great.

What can I do next?

When I moved to McKinney last summer, I called several vets. They were all within a few dollars of each other. I am very happy with my vet, but don't think he is cheaper than anyone else. I am now looking to get my dog fixed and I was told to go to the SPCA (in McKinney) ... you might want to call them about a good vet for the shots also!

I have an awesome vet. Virginia Parkway Pet Hospital on Virginia Pkwy at Lake Forest. Don't know what she charges for dogs because I have cats. The staff is awesome and she truly loves all her patients. Her numbr is ###-###-####.

You might also try the TX SPCA Clinic off of Custer on FM720...their phone # is ###-###-#### ext 105, but you might have better luck stopping in and making an appt. I'm new to the area for a year and I just took my dog there for his shots...really inexpensive and you're helping the SPCA to boot!

K.,
I don't have a personnal recommendation, but I do have 2 I would avoid: McKinney Animal Hospital (nice, but very expensive & likes to do a lot of extra tests) & King Vet. Clinic (misdiagnosed our dog repeatedly which led to her being 57 pds due to a thyroid problem instead of 30). I have a friend who is very happy w/ her vet's service and pricing. She uses Eldorado Animal Hosp. at Hardin & Eldorado. Good luck w/ your search.

We go to Parker Animal & Bird Clinic at Custer and Parker. I know several people who go to them and all think they are very reasonably priced.
I also like the SPCA idea - didn't know you could do that!

My parents take their pets to Dr. Hickman at the Animal Medical Center on Virginia and Jordan. They have told me that the care is great their prices are very reasonable and they never get charged for things that they do not need (the don't try to push the unnecessary extras).

If you are willing to drive a little, I recommend Sachse Veterinary Hospital. They take excellent care of our pets and they are in a low-rent area, so their prices are very reasonable. We drive from Plano for that reason.

Call ###-###-####.

We've been going to Highlands Eldorado Veterinary Hospital since we moved to McKinney, 6 years ago. Dr. Taylor is great. He's taken care of both of my dogss and my cat. He diagnosed my cat w/ Lupus and lovingly helped me through treatment and then putting her to sleep a couple of years ago. He's up on the latest technology, but will not run any tests that are not necessary & will not run a bunch of tests without your consent either. They are located behind Primrose School off Eldorado Pkwy. ###-###-####
