Looking for Preschool Sports in Carrollton, Plano, Dallas
Does anyone know the best age to start preschoolers in sports? My soon to be 3 year old is extremely active and I am interested in finding some type of program for him. I have checked out Little Gym and places like that, but it seems too much like daycare to me. If anyone has any suggestions please feel free to express them, or if you know of any good programs in the Carrollton/Plano/N. Dallas area let me know.

Hi, S..
My suggestion would be to check with your local city of Carrollton Parks & Recreation Department (recreation center). I teach a Kindermusik class in a Dallas Recreation Center in Lake Highlands and they have offered beginning soccer for preschoolers. You might see if one of your local rec. centers offers something similar in the fall.

I would suggest Soccer. All kids love to run. I will give him a good work out. Look at you local YMCA. They should have ideas too.

My son was and is very active. He is almost 6 now, but when he turned 3 we put him in soccer. He loved it! We thought it was a great way to introduce him to organized sports. We played though National Youth Sports. I believe there is a league in your area. Good Luck!

My son goes to Gym Kids. He loves it and always naps so well the day he goes! The location he attends is in Flower Mound. There may be another location closer to you, but I'm not sure.

HI there! I have been looking for the same information. I have a very active almost 3 year old boy too. I live in Dallas and all I have come up with is Soccer Tots. You can look at there website www.soccertots.com and see the schedule. Please let me know if you find anything else out.
Thanks, A.
