Looking for Preschool in Bloomington, We Are New to the Area.

My family just moved to Bloomington in June and I am looking for a preschool for my son Sam. My oldest son went to Camden Community Preschool, which was wonderful, but it is about 20 miles away from our new home. I am looking for just a regular preschool not a daycare. I would like him to for about 3 days a weeks for about 2-3 hours a day, and am flexible with the times and days. I contacted Bloomington Public Schools and Sam my 35 month old is 11 days shy of their cut off. He is a September 11th birthday, but is very ready for preschool. Because I stay at home with him I would really like him to be able to socialize with other children on a regular basis. We live off 35W and 106th in Bloomington. I would be open to any type of preschool, Montessori, Lutheran, Catholic, or other. I would love to have input. Thanks, N.

There is also a Montessori on Lyndale and 97th in the complex just north of McDonalds. Of course, right now I can't think of the name, but I've often thought of looking into it when my girls get old enough. I work just off of 35W and 106th.
But there is a sign stating that they are enrolling.

There's a pre-school not far from 35W and 106th Street. It's called Rainbow Montessori and it's on Nicollet Ave. http://rainbowmontessoriinc.com/

Hi N.,

We have heard really nice things about St Luke's Christian Preschool on 98th across from Bloomington's New City Hall. We are sending our little girl and can't wait. Also, I have a couple of friends that are sending their kids to St Michael's on Normadale. I think you would really like either school.

Any questions, please feel free to email,

Hi, my name is T. and we are new to the area as well! We are on E 104th and 4th! I am not sure which side of 35W you are on in conjunction with 106th so I am not sure if this would work for you or not. We are on the east side and about a block down from us on 104th right next to the playfields there is a church with a preschool. I am actually going there this afternoon to check it out. The name is Open Arms and their phone number is ###-###-####. Hope this helps! Have a great day!

The pre-school in Bloomington is run by a church Evangelical Covenant which is an off shoot of the Lutheran Church. My son will attend Kindgergarten at MA in the fall. We opted not to do pre-k there because I work and the PK hours are limited but it could be a good deal for your situation.
