Looking for Playgroups in or Around Las Colinas Irving, TX for 9 Month Old Girl

I live in Las Colinas, and I have a 9 month old baby girl. I don't know anyone around here her age. I am currently a stay at home mom who has no family around here and we are on a tight budget and have trouble finding free or reasonable price activities for us to go to. If anyone would know of any activities or playgroups or even mom groups please respond.

What can I do next?

Go to www.meetup.com to search for playgroups in your area. There is a group called midcities moms that I recently joined. I haven't actually made it to any playdates yet, but I'm trying! I have a 2 yr old plus a newborn with colic, so if he's having a rough day I just stay home. Good luck :)

I have an 8 month old baby girl. Another Mamasource Mom just contacted me today about getting a playgroup together. She also has an 8 month old baby girl. Maybe we can work something out. You can email me if you'd ____@____.com

I have a 3 mo old boy and in the same position ... we go for walks regularly and I could use other mom contact.

maybe we can start our own :)
I'm in the same boat, I live in near Coppell, working only 2 days a week with a 3 month old baby boy.

You might also check to see if there is a MOMS Club near you. That is what I joined when I started staying at home and it's the best thing I ever did. I'm in Coppell and we have two great groups that include Coppell and Valley Ranch. It's a national organization with lots of rules but they also limit your liability regarding having folks in your personal home. I know there are other area groups but I don't know all of them, you can check at momsclub.org. The Coppell chapters are both at ____@____.com. A group like this offers not only playdates but small meetings with speakers, moms nights out, park outings, meals for new moms/families, and a ton of support!

I do know folks who have made friends/playdates at the library storytimes for kids. I know Coppell and Valley Ranch both have good baby ones.

Good luck, it definitely helps having a support group!!!
