Looking for Place to Take Stuffed Animal Donations

We have TONS of stuffed animals that I am so ready to get rid of. Many are brand new and in great condition. We would like to donate them to somewhere, but I am not sure where. I called Hope Children's Hospital, but they only want new things. Any ideas? Thanks!

What can I do next?

Oh man, ME TOO!!!!!!! I thought about a battered women's and children's shelter.

There is guardian angel home in Joliet always looking for things... women's shelters, homes for disabled or mentally challenged (Little City), (cornerstone also in Joliet), and perhaps online a donation site for soldier's kids???

happy hunting.

i have amvets, vietnam veterans assoc. and salvation army come to my house about 4 times a year. i clean out my house and pack up anything i can think to donate.....they take stuffed animals, toys, small appliances, clothing, linens and drapes...just about anything. they put you on a calling list and call you whenever they are in your area doing pick ups. you just leave the bags of things on your porch and they pick it up like magic! you can also find a local one and do a drop off if you think you won't need the pick up. good for you for thinking of others

Jenni,
Check local fire departments. They keep stuff animals on the ambulance for when they have children as patients. They give the child the stuffed animal to make them feel safe and secure. Also to trust the paramedics.
