Looking for Place to Stay in Destin

I have been looking online for places to stay in Destin, FL and am starting to feel really overwhelmed. Anyone have any recommendations?

What can I do next?

We flew to Ft. Lauderdale from DFW. We stayed at the Hilton Resort in Sandestin and it was beautiful. We already have plans to go back this summer.

We got a Jr Suite ocean view. The bunk bed area had its own tv so my daughter and her friend had their own space. Hubby and I enjoyed the fitness club.

We were right on the beach, beautiful sand, overall one of our favorite places we have visited since Hawaii and South Beach in Miami. (South Beach is not for children, very adult oriented)

Have fun!

WE stayed at the Ramada Plaza and beach resort in Destin, its awesome! Right on the beach, you walk out and have the ocean. You can choose to pay for an "ocean view room" but in my case those are way over priced but they do offer some nicer amenties than the regular rooms, i believe they have a mini kitchen so you can cook if you are staying for more than a few days. We paid just for a non ocean room and could still see the ocean from our room bc we were faced towards the ocean, we were there for about 6 days and loved it!! There are a lot of hotels down the strip from the Ramada but we really enjoyed our stay there! Will definitely go back! IF you are flying in to Destin or Ft Walton Beach the airport at Ft Walton Beach is tiny nothing like Love field much smaller and but its not bad bc the flight is only about an hour and half from DFW. good luck!

Two summers ago, we stayed at the Hidden Dunes Beach and Tennis Resort in Destin, FL. (www.resortsrealty.com) It was VERY nice and affordable. They have three types of accomodations - high rise condos on the beach, villas and cottages. We stayed in a two bedroom condo (they call them cottages). It was an easy walk through the property to the beach. They have three nice pools and beautiful landscaping. We went in August, so it was only $150 per night. I think it is about $50 more in June or July. Right near the outlet mall and plenty of restaurants.
