Looking for Pediatrician on NW Side of Chicago or Close Suburbs

Can anyone recommend a pediatrician for me either on the NW side of Chicago or in nearby suburbs (Park Ridge, Norridge, Harwood Heights, etc.)? Is the closest hospital to that area Lutheran General? There is a pediatric practice there (Advocate Medical Group) that employs eight docs - Belmonte, Lundblad, Mehta, Unfer, Bolton, Martini, Schreier, and Vassmer. Does anyone have any experience with this practice that they can share? I would appreciate any and all leads to a great pediatrician/pediatric practice - thank you!

What can I do next?

My kids have been going to Advocate Medical Group (@ Lutheran General in Park Ridge) for 2 years now and I was referred to them by a friend of mine whose daughter goes there as well. I like it much better than the practice I used to go to (in Hoffman Estates). The nurses in Park Ridge are nice and friendly and they split their waiting area in half with a large built in fish tank. One side is for sick children and the other side for "well" children. Four days a week from 8am-8:45am they have "sick days" where you can bring in your kid without an appointment and they will see them. My kids' primary pediatrician is Lundblad, but we have seen Mehta and Schreier as well. Most of the docs seem pretty nice and knowledgable which was really helpful for me as my "little" one was sick alot for a year an a half and they referred me to a great ENT doc (Lygizos, also at Lutheran) who is awesome and he removed my son's tonsils and adenoids and inserted tubes in his ears. For a kid with allergies and asthma, he is more active than most 4 year olds! I moved to the Lakeview area of Chicago 2 months ago and I still drive to Park Ridge!

She was highly recommended by 3 other medical people... and we like her a lot. She's affiliated with Evanston and St. Francis, and is located near old orchard mall. She is the mom of triplets, and has a really nice practice with one other doc and some np's. Good luck with everything!

I second the person who recommended Cathy DiVincenzo (Skokie office off Golf). She is absolute gold and her affiliates are very reputable as well. She came highly recommended by several of my husband's co-workers. Good luck!

Hi! I also live in Norwood Park and I have an almost one-year old daughter who I have taken to Dr. Sarah Albert since the day she was born. She has an office in both Lincolnwood and Skokie (right by Old Orchard) and is associated with Evanston Northwestern. I have been very pleased with her my daughter's care and with the other doctors in the practice when we have had to see them. What is also great, is that there is a one hour time when you can come in during the mornings without an appointment everyday (even Saturday and Sunday) at one of the offices, one of the doctors covers that shift each day. I would be more than happy to answer specific questions for you.
