Looking for Pediatric Opthamalogist

I need a great pediatric opthamalogist in the Flower Mound/ Lewisville area. I am willing to travel into Dallas or Fort Worth if necessary. My 3 1/2 daughters eye have suddenly started to cross and I need to find out why.

I have to agree with all of those who said Dr. Packwood. He is THE BEST!! Not only is he wonderful, medically, he also has a great bedside manner. My daughter loved him. We saw Dr. Gross as well. He is a great doctor but my daughter was very intimidated by him. His bedside manner is not the greatest. I HIGHLY recommend Dr. Packwood.

My children were born at 29 weeks and they have to see a pediatric opthamalogist at least once a year. We were seen by Dr. Leffler in Plano while we were in the NICU and have been to his office several times.

Dr. Beauchamp is in Grapevine. We have gone to him for 2 years and a friend's daughter had surgery with him. Love him, wonderful with the kids.

We go to Dr Gross in Dallas. We were actually referred to one of the doctors in a previous response but went to Dr Gross for a second opinion and he found a huge difference in my son's glasses Rx and wasn't so quick to jump to surgery like the other doctor. We love him and my son has made leaps and bounds of progress, completly out of the surgery realm. He has amblyopia and strabismus which is a crossing and turning in of the eyes. My son's is due to farsightedness.

We go to Dr. Beauchamp in Grapevine. He is very nice and goes a great job.

Dr. Eric Packwood is absolutely wonderful!!!! He has an office at the Harris Methodist Hospital professional bldg in Ft. Worth and also sees patients at a facility in Hurst. His number is ###-###-####. We saw Dr. Beauchamp in GV when my son was 12 weeks old (he has Cortical Visual Impairment) and Dr. Beauchamp wasn't sure what was going on (it could of been a number of things at that time)so we saw Dr. Packwood for a 2nd opinion. Dr. Packwood is a great listener, very up on current opthamalogic issues and a very gentle doctor. My kids love him! I know several others that use him and they all like him for the same reasons. I do prefer the Hurst office to the Ft. Worth office (especially if you have a stroller or wheelchair). The Hurst office has a much bigger waiting area and not nearly as crowded all the time.

I am not sure about one in your area. But, in Fort Worth there is Dr. Eric Packwood or Dr. Norman (not sure on first name). My son recently had eye surgery. Dr Packwood was the original Dr we spoke to and Dr. Norman did the surgery (it ended up becoming an emergency and he was the Dr on call). They were fantastic. Dr. Norman really cared about my son and made us feel very comfortable. I don't have the number handy....but, I am sure it wouldn't be hard to find. They are both in the same practice.

Dr. Lisa Bowen. She is great with my kiddos, 3ys & 6mo, she works with her husband. Her office is located just north of Temple Baptist Church, and number is ###-###-####

My daughter's eyes started doing the same thing when she was almost 3. Please get her checked ASAP. My DD was losing the vision in her left eye and we didn't even know it. She ended up having surgery on both eyes when she was three. We saw Dr. Antinone in FW at the time, but he has since retired. She's almost six, has to wear glasses still, and we've been seeing Dr. Norman (I think his first name is Allen, not sure though) at Pediatric Eye Specialists in downtown FW <Cooks>. He's very good with her and we've been pretty happy. Best of luck to you & her.
