Looking for Outdoor Swimming Pools

We live in the Afton area and wondering if anyone knows of any public outdoor pools. We go to the river often and Tanners and Lake Elmo beaches, but looking for a change of pace. I know of Como pool but anything closer my way- Oakdale, Stillwater, Woodbury, Hudson?
Thanks for your replies,
L.

What can I do next?

So What Happened?â„¢

Thanks for all the responses. Sounds like Battle Creek and Hastings are the fun places to go. I have been to Battle Creek once a few years ago, but forgot all about it. Thanks again!

Hi L.,
There are only 2 pools that I know of. There's one called "Water Works" in St. Paul/Woodbury/Maplewood. I am not sure of what city it's in........it's kinda right on the edge of each towm. It's off of 94 and I think McKnight...

The one we like going to is in Hastings. It seems cleaner the "Water Works" and is not as busy. The one in Hastings you could look up for directions.

I am a mother of a 15 year old girl and 3 boys,13,10 & 9.

Hope this helps!

The YMCA in White Bear Lake (694 & White Bear Ave) has an awesome outside pool and area! It's very toddler friendly, too. You can go there even if you're not a member. I'm not sure on the cost, though. Have fun!

Hi L.,
Here's a few ideas...
Battle Creek Waterworks Family Aquatic Center features two separate pools. The shallow pool (maximum depth 18 inches with zero-depth beach) features an interactive water play system, specially designed for children and family fun. The activity pool (maximum depth 5 feet) features a lily pad water walk and a plunge area for people coming off the 170 foot waterslide. There is also a children’s sand/water play area as well as a building with restrooms, changing areas, and concessions vending. Cost is $4.50 per person (12 months and under are free). West of 494 off of Upper Afton Road and Century.

Carver Lake in Woodbury just redone with nice features.

Eagan’s Cascade Bay Waterpark: zero depth entry, 5 water slides, lazy river, snack bar and picnic area. www.cityofeagan.com

These are just some of the coordinated events MOMS Club has on our calendar. https://home.comcast.net/~momsofwoodburymn or check out www.momsclub.org
Take care and stay cool!

This might be too much of a drive it is not listed in the cities you posted, but Hastings a a nice outdoor "pool". There are a few slides and several "toys" in the shallow part for toddlers, it can get busy but my kids have always enjoyed it. The pool is right in town on Hwy 55 I believe it is.

Definitely check out Battle Creek waterworks. Cut and paste the following link into your browser for details: http://www.co.ramsey.mn.us/NR/rdonlyres/FE6CE992-4C67-4AE...

I've heard there is an outdoor waterpark @ BattleCreek in St. Paul. There is also one in Hastings.

I haven't been to either on of them, but know people who have....

Battle Creek Waterworks. It has a really nice wading pool that has a jungle gym and slides....there is a park with sand too, no swings.....but something to make sandcastle. The other side is a pool with a big slide, not very big pool with having a big slide on one end and a "lilly pad" on the other end to walk across. It cost $5.50 a person. 12 mths and under free. 3 yrs and under have to wear a swim diaper...even if they are potty trained.
There's one out by Eagan...behind walmart and Kohls.....not sure of the name of it.
