Looking for Orthodontist Referral in mcHenry/ Crystal Lake
My daughter is almost 8 and our dentist recommended that she see an orthodontist because of the shape of her top teeth and an overbite. Has anyone had experience with ortho treatment at this young age? I'd love to hear what orthodontist you would recommend and why.
Thanks!

Hi, J.. I work for a general dentist, Leix Dental, in Lakewood, IL. I agree that Conlon and Thompson does great work and are very nice. Another option is Dr. Hoffman. He is awesome!! They are located in Crystal Lake and do free consultations as well. We refer to Dr. Hoffman more than any other orthodontist and our patients are always pleased.

My son started orthodontia at age 8 also. I highly recommend Dr. Kubik in Crystal Lake. He is great with kids and his staff is top notch. He is located on the corner of Lake st and Coventry lane. Good Luck!

My son started ortho at 7. He just has a retainer in the roof of his mouth. It was to allow room for his molars to come in. I think there are def reasons to have ortho work at a young age but it all depends on what it is. I have gone to Trapani and love, love, love him. That being said, I know he does not price match and does not give insurance discounts. I considered changing for that reason but I think he is so good with the kids and his staff is so professional I just can't change. I think being in business for 37 years says a lot for him.

Conlon and Thompson in McHenry- my youngest (7) is currently on his Phase 1 braces for overbite and overcrowding. They are super nice, patient and work with you on payments. My oldest (10) just got done with his Phase 1 and has a retainer and his teeth are awesome, we get tons of comments on it. They do free consultation's where they take exams, doctor and nurse talk to you and your daughter and then determine what needs to be done. They are flexible with appointments and there is a reward system for patients, my oldest walked away with tons of cool stuff. Both Dr Conlon and Dr Thompson are friendly and talk to the parents/patients during the appointments- I just really like them! Hope this helps
