Looking for Opthamologist

Does anyone have any recommendations for a good opthamologist for adults in/around Clinton Township?

What can I do next?

There is a wonderful doctor for children on Garfield Rd. north of Metro. Parkway (16 Mile Rd) It may be Sterling Hts. His name is Dr. John Baker, he is or was chief of Opth. at Children's Hospital. It's been a few yrs. since my contact with him. I'm not sure if he is still chief of Opth. He is very patient and gentle with the children. It's like going to see grandpa. My children have had to see him for yrs. due to eye problems. He is a specialist. Our reg. eye doctor didn't even pick up on the eye problem in the first place. When the county came to the school and screened the children, the problem was discovered. In this same building, there are adult doctors too.

I recommend Family Eye Care on Garfield, next to the new Children's Hospital. Dr. Lakin is very good. Prices are reasonable and they work with insurance. Here's some more info about them:

I'm not sure exactly how close to Starbucks they are- but hey, if you're already out...

I am sorry I am not sure if opthamologist, and optometrist are similar or different, but I love my eye doctor, Megan Cowsill at Eastside Eye Physicians, on 21 and Schoennher. Don't know if that's what you are looking for...

Try Dr. Paul Perse at SVS Vision. He is at 16 mile and Dequindre

There are two very well known pediatric opthamologists I know of in the area. One is Dr. O'Malley (I believe in Grosse Pointe), and the other is Dr. Cukrowski in Royal Oak (Woodward & 13mile). I know many families who use them. Good luck!
