Looking for New Midwife or OB GYN

Hello Mommy's, I am looking for a new Midwife or OB GYN. I used a midwife group to deliver my first child naturally at a hospital, but they have moved and I am looking for someone closer to Algonquin. Has anyone had a wonderful natural childbirth experience and can recommend a midwife or OB who supports natural childbirth close to the Algonquin area? Thank you so much. I don't want to just get a name from the phone book.

What can I do next?

I recommend Rebecca Rose through Dr. Stankevych's office. She is wonderful and caring. ###-###-####

Yes, Rebecca Rose with Dr. Stankevych's office. He has 2 delivering midwives, but I prefer Rebecca.

Edited to say that I have not used Dr. Stankevych's office. But, I saw Rebecca when she was with a different practice and delivering in Elk Grove Village. She switched to this practice a couple of years ago to be closer to home, I believe.

I think Fox Valley Women's Clinic located at Sherman and St Joes in Elgin have a good midwife.

I love my OB GYN...Dr. Salus. She is with Woman to Woman in Crystal Lake. All four doctors are female and very supportive of your birthing decisions. They try to make you feel as comfortable and informed as possible. If you would rather go with a midwife...they would even recommend one to you.

Good luck!
