Looking for New Diapers
Hi all! My baby boy who is 15 months old, wakes up EVERY morning soaking wet! His diapers are continually leaking! I'm really tired of changing the sheets and washing them every single day. Does anybody have a suggestion of a diaper that has worked well at preventing leaks at night? I've never had such a huge problem with this before...
So What Happened?™
Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! I tried a couple of different things and last night tried the Huggies Overnites. He woke up dry and could probably even wear his jammies again tonight they are so clean! Thanks for all your help and input. You've been lifesavers.

The same thing happened to me. I started using a diaper size bigger at night, and that has helped immensely. Still happens every once in awhile, but not often. :-)
Good luck!

Change your babys diaper right before bedtime. I've always used Huggies. The key is to make sure the diaper is on nice and snug with the inside elastic folded out so as to create a protective barrier.Always change diaper as soon as baby wakes up . Hope this helps you out.

I went threw quite a few brands of diapers and pampers seemed to be the ones that leaked the least. If you put him in the next size up from what he is in now, it gives them more to fill. My nephew had something similar to your son, they ended up giving him less fluids tward the evening and that seemed to work.

Change him right before bed, use a size big enough for him. I use Pampers Cruisers and they work fine although I am not sure it is a problem with the diaper. He might be drinking a lot of liquids before he goes to bed. If that is the case, you could try getting him to drink a lot during the day, and after meals, but stop any liquids ahalf an hour before he goes to bed or more if needed. That might help for now, and perhaps also later when potty trained and helping him not have accidents at night.

Both of my sons had this problem right around that age (well, a tiny bit older). I found that moving up a size at night helped, and I always make sure that he gets a fresh one when I put his pj's on. Even if there's only a tiny bit of wet, I change it, because like you, I got sick of changing the sheets and washing pj's.
But I realized that I had a LOT more sets of jammies for that age than I usually do, so I think it's just a phase and I couldn't do anything to stop it.
Oh, by the way, we've always used Parent's Choice (well, they were called Drypers a few years back, but they're the same) because they're the cheapest around, and they work great. I bought some Pampers at a thrift store once (it was a bargain!) and while they were sort of luxurious-feeling, they didn't work any better than the cheapie ones!

I used White Cloud with my first son and loved them, although at night we went up a size to help with absorption. We love Pampers Cruisers with our second, he's allergic to White Cloud, or I'd be using them again. We have never had a leak as long as we have everything directed down.
I have seen things on the internet, although I haven't been able to find them recently, that you stick inside the diaper at night, kind of like a maxipad, that help improve absorption.

I am a big fan of Pampers Cruisers. I am not sure that they hold any more than any other brand, but we have never had them leak! Have you tried putting one of those plastic covers (for the old style cloth diapers) over his diaper at night? It might help!
