Looking for New Clinic and a Pediatrician in Woodbury

Hi, We moved to Woodbury a month ago. I am looking for a clinic for my husband and I and also a pediatrician for my two daughters. I've had two recommendations for Central Pediatrics and one for Woodwinds. Any thoughts or other recommendations would be greatly appreciated. I'm mostly concerned about the pediatrician/clinic for them since I know with the winter months ahead that I'll be needing one sooner rather than later!

What can I do next?

Central Peds is wonderful! They are open M-F 7:45am to 5pm and Sat 9am to noon. They are connected with Priority Peds, which is open M-F 5pm to 10pm, Sat 9am to 5pm and Sun noon to 8pm. Central Peds takes walk-ins and no appt is needed for Priority Peds. My son is 6 mo. and we've seen 3 docs from these clinics and they've all been great! We always get right in, too. Good luck!

Healtheast Woodbury Clinic has Dr. Montague, Dr. Gurne (sp?) and Dr. Foss, all who are really wonderful. Dr. Montague sees a few of my friends and they just love her. She is so sweet, never rushes you and listens to all of your concerns. Check her out. She is a family practice doctor, so she can see any of you for anything and she does OB too, just in case you may be thinking of that again in the future.

Dr. Gurne is new and so she is really easy to get in to see if you have something come up quick, like a cold or some other health emergency. She also is doing OB.

Good luck!

I just started bringing my 2 month old to Pediatrics and Young Adult Medicine and I absolutely LOVE them. They make me feel so comfortable and safe with the care for my daughter. What I love most is they don't treat me like a stupid first time mom and they listen to my concerns. Although I go to the office in St. Paul, they also have an office in Woodbury.

Hope this helps.

Central Peds is amazing. The entire staff is knowledgible and practical. I love that they have a kids only urgent care practice too. Great for all those upcoming colds and ear infections that seem to travel hand in hand with winter!

I take my daughter to PACE pediatrics on Woodlane & Valley Creek. There is a new doctor there that has been working with children for quite a while. We like how small it is -- we never wait to see the doctor and they have later appointments 1-2 days a week so we don't have to leave work during the day. As for doctors, my husband and I go to Allina and I am very happy with the services we have received there.

S.,
Sounds like you got some good requests from Central and Woodwinds. Just to give you variety, I see Dr. Burright at Allina for my daughter, and we've been really happy with her.

S. - I moved to Shoreview after 10 yrs. in St. Paul, but my clinics were both in Woodbury. My kids went to Pediatric & Young Adult Medicine (they also have offices in Lake Elmo/St. Paul) ans we actually make the trip to St. Paul for their visits I was so pleased with the outcome. I saw a physician at St. Paul Internists (they too have multiple office/different locations, Woodbury/St. Paul). Both clinics in Woodbury are in the same building, the High Pointe office, Hope this helps.

Hi S.,
I'm a member of the Woodbury Area Mom's group and a lot of my fellow moms go to Central Peds and love it. I take my girls (2 1/2 and 15 months) to the HealthEast Woodbury Clinic (Woodwinds). However, I'm thinking of switching...don't get me wrong, it's a great clinic, but lately I've been hearing really good things about Ilko Family Medicine in Woodbury from a lot of moms (I'm the editor of a local parenting web site twincities.babyzone.com and people send me recommendations all the time).
