Looking for a Glider

Hi.  We just had a baby born on 9-22-05 at 32 weeks a little early but that o.k. everything is fine now and we are about to come home.  We have everything ready all we need is a chair to rock her in and feed her all that stuuff you know I am sure,  I was told by another mom that this is a good place to look for a glider rockking chair.  If some one is not using theirs and would be willling to sell it that would be great. If you have any other suggestion on were to look please tell us.

My husband got our glider and ottoman at Wal-Mart for about $80 several years ago (before our son was born). It's held up great and now stays in our son's room. It has held up well and is actually quite comfy!

Glad to hear that all is well with Alli. If your wife ever needs someone to talk to, please give her my info. My brother was born at 33 weeks 19 years ago. He is fine now and is an aspiring left handed pitcher in college. I was young when he was born, but I've heard enough of my mom's stories to know how scary that can be.

Anyways, I'm a stay at home mom of 1 year old Nathan. Would love to get to know her better since we're in the same area!

My mom bought me one when my baby was born in Denison at Crabtee furniture. It is wonderful, it is a glider and it swivels as well. Denison is only 45 minutes North of McKinney. Hope that helps.

congratulations! My daughter's birthday is 9-22-02. Sorry, we're still using ours, good luck.

Babies R Us is a good place to go. They have cute stuff that is affordable. Also, you can try a resale shop like cute as a button or once upon a child

There were a few places I looked when I was needing a glider and it depends on how patient you are to wait for one. You can try Freecycle.org to see if anyone will give you one they don't need, Craigslist.org to make an offer for one or ask for one free, and then there's good ol' Babies R' Us which is where I got mine because they had the biggest selection. Also in there is Kid to Kid or one of the consignment stores that sell them but they are hard to come by because they go so quickly. They have a wish list you sign up for and they will call you when it comes in but that is something you have to resign up for every month till you get to the top or they get to you. Good Luck and congrats!
