I have been in the Allen Early Childhood PTA since my 5 year old was 3 months and I have loved every second of it! It doesn't matter where you live you can be a member of the AECPTA. However, you might find an early childhood pta in your area if you are not in Allen. Good Luck! :)C.

Have you looked into any Moms groups or Early Childhood PTAs? I don't know where you live, so I can't make specific suggestions, but I am part of the Preston Hollow Early Childhood PTA. Our first meeting is this Monday at 9am. You are more than welcome to visit! Our speaker will be discussing things to do with your kids around the metroplex. Try www.momsclub.org or www.mops.org for local mom's groups. Other fun things would be to join a kindermusik or gym class for preschoolers. I'm not sure where you live, but ASI has a fun one, Little Gym or Gymboree,& City of Plano has several fun classes too. There's also the early childhood PTA groups that you can join.

On the Internet go to meetups and then put in your area, i.e. Plano. Clidk on parenting and all the mom's meetups for your are will be listed. Pick one or two of the closest ones and then you will be invited to playdates and mother's nite outs, and all sorts of fun things.

Your best bet is the Allen Area Early Childhood PTA. Check them out online at www.aecpta.com. It's a great way to make friends for your child and yourself and they have lots of fun activities. Good luck!

WOGA has mommy and Me gymnastics. Music Together Dallas offers music classes for mom and kid.

Check your local library for toddler story times. I met most of my mommy friends at ours. Also check out classes such as The Little Gym, Gymboree or Kindermusik.

Once school starts, hit the mall play areas, library story times and try meetup.com. You should find lots of other moms with little ones at all those places! Have fun- I really enjoyed my stay home years.
