I don't know about your church specifically, but we were in the same boat about 9 months ago. My husband and I started volunteering to help out at church, work in the nursery, I joined MOPS; we joined a dinner group. Anything where you would meet and work with church members in smaller groups would probably be helpful. I still don't have "friends" at church, but more and more people look familiar, and I can put faces with names. It takes time.

HI L.,
We attend CCCA and I felt the same way when we first started there. I did a few things to get involved and meet people. I joined the MOPS group and I have met so many great Moms.(my son is 2 1/2) I am thinking of joining the book club and we also will host dinners. I was the scariest thing for me to walk into that MOPS room with 70 moms I didn't know, but it is such a warm and welcoming environment. I'd love to chat. If you'd like, give me a call. Also, there are 2 gals in the MOPS group that have child care at their home.

L. - I am actually the nursery coord. at Jubilee Fellowship in Lonetree, but we link up with Colorado Community Church for VBS every year, sharing props and paint and such. Julie MacCluskey is in charge there this year of VBS and it runs from June 16-20th - it would be a GREAT way for your kids to meet other kids their ages and then you could meet the moms! And the kids have a blast!! Just a thought for you, because I know it's hard to get connected in a large church. Another idea is to volunteer in the children's ministry or even for VBS. It's not always easy stepping out of your comfort zone, but I pray you're able to connect and create some great friendships for you and your children!

Hi I donot go to that church tho I have attended it as friends of mine have gone there. I donot know if they still do. Collette is mky friends name and I donot know her last right now.Her kids are older now. As for daycare advice, Sallys Sunbeams childcare in Aurora is a wonderful facility tho not cheap. It is on Quincey and Chambers. The owner is also a child psychologist and has been wonderful in helping me with my adopted 3 yr old son who was in the fostercare system. Good luck! P.
