Looking for Inexpensive Front Carrier

Hi I am looking for an inexpensive yet comfortable front carrier for my two month old daughter. I am hoping someone might be able to give me some suggestions from experience. The baby bjorn seem to be WAY too expensive. Anyone used any others that are in the cheaper range of $20-40?

What can I do next?

I used a Baby Bjorn and loved it. My little guy outgrew it at 10 months, and I wish he still fit into it. It was great! \They are a little pricey, though. You could look on Craigslist to see if there are any for sale in your area. Or perhaps find garage sales where folks are clearing out baby gear. Good luck!

Hi M.,
I have a Baby Bjorn that I'm selling for $35 if you are interested. It is red so you could use it for a boy or girl which I did ( I have boy/girl twins ). I live in So Scotts.

We have a Snugli and like it. I have heard bad things about a hip hammock. I also have one that my MIL made from fabric from a website. If I can find the site I'll add it here and message you with it.

Hi! I also would suggest the wrap! I was knew to this until about 3 months ago, but it has been a lifesaver! I simply bought 6 yards of fabric from Walmart's $1 a yard table. I actually made two wraps by cutting it length wise! No sewing and multiple uses! Anywhere from carrying your maybe on the front, back, side, to nurse and more-- to using it as a blanket, burp rag if nothing else is close enough, and even a shopping seat or highchair cover! For $3 each, why not?? Especially when you can use it into the toddler years if tied correctly :-) I have a 3 month old son and he loves to go for walks with me and takes naps in the wrap. I don't even use a stroller, since its so easy to carry him. You do have to learn the different ties, but it's really easier than it looks! I also use www.wearyourbaby.com it is also the mamatoto site. It has great instructions.I hope this will help you spend time with your daughter and do it comfortably, cost efficiently and better yet, its good for her!
Have fun!

I have a pouch sling from luckybaby.com, I really like it. I also have a ring sling, but those tend to be more pricey. Good luck

hi, M.!

how are you doing? i just wanted to give my opinion about baby carriers...i just LOVE the wrap...it is a kind of stretchy material that was very comfortable to wear and my little guy just loved being in there. with the wrap, the weight is evenly distributed across both shoulders and the low back. he would quickly fall asleep while wrapped up! it was a great way to get things done and when we have another one, i'll be sure to use it again while i'm chasing after my toddler!

hope this helps!

p.s. they are really cheap to make and there are lots of easy directions on how to wear your baby. you should start at www.mamatoto.org for more information including how to make one for about $10.00 and about 10 minutes...no sewing required! if you need more help, feel free to write back!

I presently have one in my closet that I purchased at Wal-Mart for $20 and it worked excellently for front carrying and then back carrying when the baby got older. Heck, when they get to a certain age, you just put them on your back and go about your business. It's great. Hope this helps.
