Thanks
So What Happened?™

A good chamomile tea helps anything. Little ones can drink it too. My mother in law is from Ecuador and treats everything that way. She buys the chamomile seeds in the Mexican spice isle and puts them in a filter and drops that in the hot water. It only take a couple minutes to make. You can put it in the bottle or you can have the baby drink from the cup. It's a great remedy for stomach issues too.

Have you tried rubbing some Vicks Vaporub on her chest and upper back? It gives short term relief and helps them in getting some sleep.

A.,
I'm sorry your little girl has been sick. I don't know any home remedies, but I would guess she has a sinus infection (when they have a cough for 10+ days that is a good sign). If that is the case, an antibiotic will clear up the infection and the cough will be gone.
Good luck.

It sounds crazy, but put vicks on her feet, cover with socks, and put her to bed. My mom swears it really does the trick (although I don't know why).

If it is a productive cough instead of a dry cough, try a "steam room"... take her to the bathroom, close the door, and turn on the hot water and let her breathe in the steam as it fills up the room.

For the future- straight saline down her nose- head tilted back and then propelled forward- stuff will come out of her nose that you can't imagine- I had a homeopathic type pediatrician in Jersey-

Putting Vicks on her feet and covering with socks DOES work!! I've tried it myself and it was a life saver (even better than prescription cough medicine). They say it works even better on children (I haven't had to use it with mine yet). This works because the nerves in the feet some how trigger reactions in the rest of your body, which is why you are not supposed to massage your feet while pregnant (will trigger contractions). Hope this helps!

Have you tried a cold air humdifier in her room when she sleeps? My son has had the same issues in the past and that normally helps, but it can take a few days.
