Looking for Hair Salon/ Hair Dresser Specializing in Kids Haircuts

I am looking for someone in Lexington to cut my 2 1/2 year old daughter's hair. She has never had her hair cut by anyone other than myself and I am scared she will freak the first time she has it done. So if I could find someone that is used to dealing with kids I think it would help. She is very shy around strangers and strangers with scissors may really do her in. Let me know if you know of anyone good in the area.

What can I do next?

I work at great clips in nicholasville. I cut kids all the time. It is $9 for a kids cut and you get a "babies 1st cut" certificate and we tape a lock of hair with it. My name is M.. the phone number is ###-###-####.

I'm in Gtown so I don't have experience with them, but I've heard rave reviews about Cookie Cutters, a salon chain that specializes in children's hair. Their website:

There's a location at 3090 Todds Rd (tho the site neglects to list it).

My understanding is it's a great place - tho I've heard their prices start about $25/cut.

If you ever move to Gtown, I can personally recommend a place...Hope you find what you're looking for!!

cookie cutters, off man o' war and Todds road....next to penn station subs....they are awsome, thay cut my daughters hair at close to two....they have seats that are airplanes and trains, they have little stearing wheels on them...every seat has a tv in front of it so the kid can pick which cartoon they'd like to watch while getting their hair cut.....they have balloons and suckers and a big slide...GREAT place for first timers. A little pricey for me, around 12 or 13 dollars, but worth it for the first time haircut. They also will keep the first lock of hair and give you a certificate for a couple dollars extra.
Also, on Richmond Rd., next to Baskin Robbins and subway, behind Rally's, there is a similar place, never been there, not sure of the name, but have had SEVERAL people say they go there and like it....I think it is same pricing and everything...REMEMBER, these people do this for a living, dont be ashamed that your kid freaks out, they have seen it many many times before, that is the busines they are in and if they didnt know how to handle it, they wouldnt be there. They are VERY fast and do really good.
Hope this helps!! oh- and Im sure they are in the phone book if you want to look up the number to call, but I just walked in at cookie cutters.
Trish
