Hi H.! Wow! That is a BIG birthday party :) I am not sure how these places charge or what the guest limit is, but you may have to pay per head. Here are a few places in Chicago that my daughter (who just turned two) loves:

Fantasy Kingdom:
A large party facility and play space with dress up, etc. with a cake/food room.
1422 N. Kingsbury Street
Chicago, IL 60622

Pump It Up, Jr.:
An inflatable party zone to climb, bounce and play with a cake/food room.
821 W. Eastman
Chicago, IL 60622

Bubbles Academy:
An 8,000 sq ft facility with an all-inclusive birthday party package...each party is led by a teacher trained in performing arts with fun things to do for the kids.

Hi H.,

Check out my website, www.kidwinks.com. We list over 70 birthday party places in the Chicagoland area in the Services section. Here's the link to the exact url: http://www.kidwinks.com/events/index.asp?SECTION_ID=6&amp....

If you become a member of kidwinks, which is free, you can sort these 70+ results in order of distance from your house.

Kidwinks.com is a resource for parents in the Chicago area looking for kid-friendly events, activities, restaurants, shops and services (like birthday party places!). In the restaurants section, you'll find our Kids Eat Free Calendar, where you can click on a day and get a list of restaurants offering kids' dining deals (like "kids eat free") for that day. Check it out!

Hope this helps,

J.

I don't know what exact location that you are looking for, but I really had a good experience at the Skokie Park District. They have a facility called the Exploratorium. It is really great for young kids, it is not too expensive, and it allows for a big group. It has 2 climbers (one for little kids and a huge one for bigger kids), computers, dress-up stage, train table, water tables, art area, and a library area. I think that you can have 50 people, and there are party rooms where you can have food and cake afterward. I looked at a lot of places and thought this was the best deal. It is really hard to find a place where one year olds can crawl around and have fun things to do.
Good luck to you and remember to enjoy. I always stay the first birthday party is more a celebration of the parents making it through that tough first year and adjusting to parenthood :-)

H.,
I don't know your location but Fantasy Kingdom (near north) is great but pricey. You could also try your local park district. If you are in Chicago, the park district facilities differ widely but are very reasonable. I would suggest Chase Park on the north side (they recently added a tot play room). I have had several parties there and they have appealed to all ages. I am a party planner (pieceofcakebday.com) so please let me know if you need additional help. Good luck!!

We had 80 people (kids and adults) at Pompei Bakery on Taylor St. The website is pompeibakery.com. Great menu choices, really nice private room, causual and yet impressive place. They offered "Make your own ice cream sundae" which the kids and adults loved.
